We have been training our 10 week old vizsla puppy for the past 2 weeks, and she is learning fast! Here are all the tricks she knows so far.

When you do the leave it command. You must give treats from your treat pouch. Taking treat you ordered the puppy to leave and give it to her means, it is OK to come back and take whatever I commanded to leave. Leave it means leave it forever.

I will be getting my vizsla shortly. I am trying to figure out the "look" teaching command. You state that it is "similar to name command, but eye contact should stay until released". Are you saying that the eye contact should stay on the item you are holding to your side, or on you? You say "until released", does this mean that you then release or give Blue the treat or that you are releasing her from having to pay attention to look at whatever you are holding?

Chuck Haddad With my dog the command “look” is just another word for focus on me. It tells her that she has to make eye contact with me but I don’t release her, she just looks away shortly. If you are out in public and your dog is overwhelmed then this will help relax them.

Do you have any videos showing the begining of the training. I'm getting my Vizsla in about three weeks and i'm searching for good guidlines.

Don't dock your dogs tail! It's there for a reason, especially for athletic breeds like a Vizsla.

There's a reason sport/hunting dogs have their tails docked, especially the Vizsla.
@pjbusiness7604 жыл бұрын
@@DavidNinoOfficial "These justifications for docking working dogs' tails lack substantial scientific support. In the largest study to date on tail injuries in dogs the incidence was 0.23% and it was calculated that approximately 500 dogs need to be docked to prevent one tail injury."

Why did you cut off the tail that’s so mean
@imnot.janise83704 жыл бұрын
LegO scar it’s called docking the tail.No, it’s not mean look it up(not in a mean way)
@JC-rq1bs2 жыл бұрын
Yes looks like you have mutilated the puppy by cutting its tail short??
@AMC-SQUATCHER7 жыл бұрын
why do the damn Americans have to cut the Vizsla's tails, not only does its look stupid it's darn right cruel and unneccassary.
@lampshade59957 жыл бұрын
I agree, and I'm from the States. I hate cropping and docking. Where are you from?

i just got a viszla living in australia and would never cut her tail in a milllion years. God she is so eneregetic though non stop got to take her for runs/walks 3 times a day.

so true! and the natural tail from a vizsla is so beautiful and fits perfect... no idea why people are doing such stupid things.
@mariajuanesta33196 жыл бұрын
We dock them because as a hunting animal if i have to pull a dog out of a hole i wont break her tail pulling her out. Its like if you had to pull a person up its stronger and safer the farther up the arm... Also it wont get hurt when running and swimming even fighting another animal. So its also for safety. And yeah it hurts, for a day. The dog doesn't care and loves to hunt.
