Kkk!

My take on this comment is not that he is justifying what this man has done just simply saying that you can appreciate an art form or an artist without letting there personal issues or what they have done get in the way. If you listen to the music created you are not condoning what they have done in there personal life but simply appreciating what was done in there creative one.

Gary Glitter made some pretty cool music in the 70's and obviously he became the type of man most of us don't want to be (I'm being polite). That doesn't mean the music is no good - music, good music outlives it's creators.

Saw him in 1973 at Southampton Gaumont aged 10. Me and my mate were taken there by his 13 year old 'responsible' cousin (Clare Bryant, on the 47 bus). What a fantastic concert - still got the programme. Wizard and Sweet were a distant second place at the time. Gary is the King of Glam Rock - and what a band. I feel sorry for Gerry Shepherd (singer of Glitter Band) et al - they should be proud of great songs and a unique trail-blazing (timeless) sound - but nobody wants to know
