My boyfriend and I were engaged for maybe one month, but went back to being whatever we are (roommates at best imo), we're only "together" because he's been around a majority of my dogs life. My dog is old, diabetic, and blind. It's not the best time for my dog to lose someone. My boyfriend has never loved me (I did the proposing) and I've only just realized that he's been using me to be his surrogate mother. Work is work, but I'm at a dead end there too. I feel like a bird stuck in a cage. I am trying to be better about self care though. Taking time for me and treating myself better. I’m in my last two semesters of school, I took a new job that is demanding, my son has a blood disorder and has to go to school so everyday I’m on pins and needles praying he doesn’t catch COVID. My relationship is long distance and sometimes I don’t get to speak to him because I have so much on my plate. I want a therapy center to help kids with PTSD so they can make a life for themselves. I miss my dad, I’m alone and scared everyday. I’m the only person my kids have. I want to cry everyday. There is so much more but I know things are going to be alright. Cause if my dad did it I can too. Im striving to be a better person everyday.

Pile #1: I’ve been going to college part-time for the last 10 years or so, all while living at home. For most of that time, trying to access financial aid was worse than pulling teeth, so I could usually only pay for one course a semester. Plus I got really stressed out & overwhelmed when I tried going full-time at first. I also don’t have a car and was never able to get my license, so I’m basically at the mercy of others and the shitty public transportation system to get anywhere. Naturally, I don’t get to go out much. I was working part-time on minimum wage & whenever I would save up enough for maybe a down payment of a car, I’d have pay for a college course instead. Plus my siblings have told me repeatedly what a pos I supposedly am, even though they also get a bunch of financial support from out parents. I’ve felt trapped and like my life is going nowhere. I realize how privileged and fortunate I’ve been, but it still sucks. I’ve finally managed to get my Associates and transfer to an online school, though, and accessing FA is way easier, so I’ve been able to save more as a result. Things are looking up, for sure, but I still often feel discouraged bc all of my friends have their own lives and it feels like I’ve never gotten the chance to spread my wings. Sorry for the long depressing comment, lol.
