Big tip for next time you need to remove tailshaft bolts... Rather then getting up and down a billion times, just leave the car in neutral, that way you can just lay there with the spanners you need and crack the bolts. The secret ingredient here is a large flathead screw driver, wedge that in the uni joint to hold the shaft from spinning and crack the bolts loose. spin the shaft and repeat until all 4 are loose, then remove without moving once.
