Hey VK. I have a suggestion for future controller reviews. Especially ones without hall effect triggers. Check the range, linearity and deadzone of the analog triggers. Some really cheap gamepads have huge non adjustable deadzones.
@cyborg789811 күн бұрын
This controller is amazing. The only downsides for me are that you can't use your own rechargeable batteries, or easily replace the rechargeable battery, like the 8BitDo Pro 2. And it doesn't read amiibos, but that shouldn't be a big deal. Most switch owners should have a controller that can read amiibos laying around. (I'd likely mostly be using it on PC anyway.) I would probably be ordering it soon, but I already have a few relatively new and nice gamepads that are working well.

This seems like the perfect upgrade for me, since I wanted a wireless controller that has a DPAD with a pivot and TMR sticks. I wanted to like the Vader DPAD, but it keeps missing my inputs in fighting games a lot and I hate the shape it's not comfortable for me at all, a far cry from my favorite DPAD so far, which is in the G7 SE. The only thing I would've liked to have in the Cyclone 2 is HD Rumble, that's it. Thanks for the review, as always :)

Absolutely of your opinion. I've been using the Ciclone 2 for about 3 weeks. Really very good implementation. I highly recommend the controller. Even the frequency of the Turbo is displayed by the symbol light. In addition, the functions of mapped back buttons are separate from the reference buttons. So really cool. I like the controller very much, as well as the EasySMX X20. Or the Bigbigwon Blitz2, which drops a bit because of the input lag at high turbo frequencies. And I've tried a few in the meantime (more than 25 flag ship controllers). I'll get the PXN 5 soon, I'm curious what I can or can't do with it.

@ZimpanX8 күн бұрын
If priced the same the Vader 4 wins for having more buttons, that can be bound to keyboard actions and having on the fly adjustable stick tension. However, normally the Cyclone 2 comes in at half the price ( especially if you want a charging dock for the Vader) and with that in mind, the Cyclone 2 comes dangerously close to the Vader 4 for such a big price difference.

Great video! What are your thoughts on the longevity of those rubber pads between the face buttons and the mechanical modules? I am tired of membranes failing on me, but all mechanical controllers also use some sort of rubber padding, which I think defeats the purpose of having mechanical buttons. Also where can I buy spare parts for Gamesir controlllers?
@VKsChannel11 күн бұрын
This rubber exists only to make the buttons more "springy" If the rubber fails you can add other kind of material under the button and it will still work The only difference is that the travel distance will be shorter See the bigbigwon blitz 1 review

@VKsChannel Yes the stick's spring. For example Gamesir G7 SE or Flydigi Vader 3 Pro is using the same Ksilver modules. I'm asking because a lot of people (me included) had a stick drift issue caused by faulty spring in those modules. That's why I'm asking - did they replace it or not?

I know Switch controllers tend to be snaller. How much smaller is this than a Rainbow 2 Pro or Rainbow Pro SE? Second, have you tried the triggers for shooters or games like Helldivers 2 on PC? Asymmetric layouts is the stupidest thing on controllers. You can't press the D-Pad and move the L-Stick at the same time if necessary, but on a symmetrical layout you can. So why the hell is the assymetric layout even a thing? And no, it makes no difference in terms of comfort, since that would mean that the D-Pad would become uncomfortable (which does not).
@VKsChannel8 күн бұрын
In controllers with 4 back buttons you can map the dpad to the back buttons instead of doing a weird claw grip
@williamtael83798 күн бұрын
@@VKsChannel Yeah, my Vader 3 pro does that by default. But it's a solution for a problem that has no reason to exist.
