Tin foil to cover the wire before paint, that's the best idea ever. Tape is a arse pain!. Great build.

Very Nice mate Im Looking forward to getting mine back on the road being restored. Next week they said. New 383 SBC 4spd manual M22 rockcrusher, 2 1/2 inch Stainless Exhaust, 9 inch diff, Nolathane bushes all round, BC Racing Coilovers, Peter Brock SS Kit, Calais interior with rear headrests I know its a proud moment especially when you and your mates put in the time. So you painted 2pak over the acrylic? Far from ideal if so but still looks good. Awesome little build mate and I'm sure the misses would be wrapped with it.

@@MrProjectt is what I'm on about is the factory paint is acrylic. Your not meant to paint 2 pak on top of acrylic. The thinners eats into the acrylic and the 2 pak starts to walk on top of it. Of course it can be done but it's not ideal. Hence why if you take the factory acrylic paint back to bare metal you end up with a better quality job that will last longer and.not delaminate ect down the track.
