He's told the story before but I don't think people understand how slimy that was. I'm in the field of photography and videography, anf even though its an interview so this comparison isn't completely 1 to 1, they're basically the client in this situation yet tried to come in and take complete ownership of the media, that never happens in this field without a major price tag. That's why photographer, videographers, techs etc. do licensing arrangements. In this situation however instead of trying to get a license for the media, they tried to demand a reverse license. Yeah you recorded it on your equipment, edited it, provided the location and so on, but we're going to give you the right to have exclusive use of your own media for a year That happens nowhere. If they wanted to profit off of it as it is her story then they should have tried to negotiate a profit sharing deal - instead they tried to take the whole thing

I've heard Vlad bring up this story at least 10 times in various interviews, but this is the first time I've heard of him reaching out to Mo'Nique's 'daddy'...I mean husband to try to reach some sort of agreement. If you listen to the recorded phone call between Mo'Nique/her husband & Tyler Perry then you know the situation is very similar with a person tries to reach out to them in order to make amends only to be met with a list of demands where you need to do this this and this in order for me to accept your apology. Let's say you have a falling out with another person, but you decide to try to repair the friendship/relationship beginning with a sincere apology only for the other person to tell you how they want you to apologize to them (even if you weren't the one who did wrong in the first place); F**k em!

It seems that after your interview with them he caught onto the fact that you will continuously monetize on interviews by releasing flashback clips every so often when some celebrity is mentioned on online blogs or news sites. He realized his wife was only paid for the full interview and not any future clips.
