Thank you! Great presentation. I’ll be making these as part of a dessert for 10 tomorrow. I think I will leave the yeast out though and serve them with ice cream and caramelized pear slices. We live in Portugal where fig newtons are not available. But yours look so much better anyway. Thanks for including lard in the recipe. I also like to use lard and don’t think it is unhealthy at all. Nowadays everyone is following these absurd recommendations.
