In 1999 the band changed its name to M.S.
The name "Harap Alb" comes from the fictional character of a well known Romanian fairy tale.
One of the first public appearance in Palace Hall - Bucuresti 1978 with Anton Hasiaş - bass, and Nikky Dinescu - drums, Gabi Nacu - guitars&vocals.The style of music was hard rock/heavy metal, with influences from Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Thin Lizzy.
In 1981 a new Harap Alb is born with Bogdan "Bobo Lagar" Blaga-g. Cristi "Porta" Marinescu"-g. Cristi "Gagore" Diaconu-g. Rad Horatiu-bass si Doru "M.S." Istudor-drums. Influences from Judas Priest.
In 1998 they appeared on the V/A compilation "Tu poţi fi vedetă" (MC-A&A Records) with the song "Dreptul de a candida"
