Vladivostok is quite unique, especially considering its geography. East Asians call it the closest part of Europe to Asia.

Здесь мои мечты, реальность и разочарования. Здесь все. Обожаю. Обожаю свою страну. Спасибо вам за этот канал. "Not possess the East" )) this is an explanation of a 21st century illiterate person. in the 19th century they spoke "in the way (get along-make friends) the east", i.e. "in friendship and openness with the East and Asia and their countries". this is the exact opposite of owning the east.))
@langedocalgvazil8903
@langedocalgvazil8903 3 жыл бұрын
Floks 700 - The name of the city "Vladivostok" is translated from Russian as OWN, to rule over the East😋 - although, if you really want to, you can paraphrase this name and as "To be in harmony, in harmony with the East." Russia has two such cities with similar names - Vladivostok in the Far East and Vladikavkaz in the North Caucasus. The name of this second city can be translated as "To own, rule over the Caucasus" - or, "To be in harmony, in harmony with the Caucasus". There is a funny ambiguity in the definition of these names.😎 There is also a third city in Russia with a similar name, it is called "Vladimir" and this city is about a thousand years old, its name can be translated as "To own the World, to rule over the world" - but you can just see in this name one of the old Slavic male names - this also has a certain initial ambiguity.☺

Vladivostok is a beautiful city, though a lot of cars and old public transport but nature compensates for everything. Magnificent bridges, beautiful bays. The city has great prospects, I would even say huge. Soon there will be a mortgage at 2% per annum and throughout the far East. I changed the comment, as the mortgage at 2 percent has already started to operate from December 2019. That people came there to live and develop the region. As always an excellent report. Hugged bro

It was a prospect since the Russian empire due to its location, it may grow. however it just stays like that. just a promise. It was important as Japanese autos were imported to Russia via the city, at the start of this century. since that stopped. just natural resources and services are left in the city. a mortgage with 3% may look attractive but with the cost of living there with American real state prices, it sounds crazy..

@MetraMan09 The city is growing, its population is growing every year. I think the complexity of construction hinders its faster development. After all, it is easier to build a city on a plain than on hills among dozens of bays. and Yes, in winter there is a lot of snow and roads freeze and it is very problematic to go uphill. There are also real typhoons, the One that hits Japan and China and Korea. after the sanctions imposed by the West against Russia, the government pays more attention to the Far East as trade with Asia began to grow exponentially. The trade turnover with China alone reached $ 120 billion. China is buying more and more from Russia every year, so the city will definitely grow

It's unfortunate when government fails to step up to do more for its people- something as simple as enough trash cans and national park maintenance. I agree this is the image oven painted. And perhaps it is not always untrue. I visited Moscow in 1992 and it was drab. The food was dreadful. Russia has to find its own way. I think the 'shock therapy' policies following the fall of communism eg mass wholesale privatisations etc were a mistake. Clinton, the IMF and Jeffrey Sachs have something to answer for here. The result was appalling income inequality, corruption, oligarchs,, dysfunction. Perhaps Sweden is a model of a successful mixed economy they can follow.
