The Prodigy were punk for the rave generation. Everyone I know loved them: indie kids, handbag-house kids, techno freaks, emos, drum n basers. They brought us all together. EVERYONE. The 90s would have been nothing without them. I love them today as much as I did then. Music for *every* possible mood across the whole gamut of emotions. I can't believe the news today. I was born in the mid '80s, so basically grew up in the '90s/early 2000s and yeah, it didn't matter if you were a punk kid, a metal kid (like me), or liked grunge or hip hop or dance music or a bit of everything -- **everybody** loved The Prodigy, they were just that sick. They were that group that kinda united music fans in a way that no one else did.
@Puschit1 Жыл бұрын
Not just indies, techno, drum&bass. To this day I can play Prodigy at 2 AM and it will not just draw the electro crowd - you will also see hiphoppers, punks and metalheads! Some of them may hate the other group's music but Prodigy unites them all

First three albums were equally good, each one in his own way. Each has at least 3 absolute classics: The Prodigy Experience had Charly, Out of Space and Everybody in the Place Music for the Jilted Generation had Voodoo People, Poison and No Good The Fat of the Land had Smack my bitch up, Breathe and Firestarter All of them essential songs and milestones. I would even say, as an album, the first one is the best, since you can listen to it on one go. The other two have some weaker tracks in between. On the other hand, of the listed tracks, the latter are the ones with more polished and memorable video clips (if that counts anything). Anyway, Prodigy totally rocks. But for some unknown reason they aren't a big thing in the USA while everybody else adores them

The Prodigy "Fat of the Land" British dance invasion was in full effect in the mid/late 90's. Many Americans thought that Keith was the frontman and that's how Prodigy sold themselves to the U.S. market. They had geniusly figured out that having a frontman was the key to being perceived by a conservative U.S. audience as a band.
