This is the type of interview that the doc about Juice was missing. I really enjoyed seeing all the videos of Juice, but a lot of clarification I felt was needed. I know we all had some questions about situations we saw. The doc could have been like 2 parts, where the 2nd part was more interviews and people sharing stories (the burnt pizza story was funny).

I’m 45 yrs old and when juice passed away I cried like a baby !! He was so just happy goofing around he cracked me up when ya watched him and if you were in a bad mood he would make ya laugh just being goofy . It would put you in a good mood automatic !! His music hit home sooooooo much and the emotions in his music was felt by all the fuck ups like myself. Man if you could wear a song out by streaming it I would have wore out most of his songs !! God he was so good I mean come on I’m a 45 yr old white guy from the backwoods who used to listen mainly to country music and his music was so good hit the thoughts and things I’ve struggled with but a black kid from Chicago was easily able to suck this old white guy straight into his music to the point it was all I listened to or watch his vids . When he died I couldn’t believe it I was so mad and sad I fucking hate it !!! Made me cry multiple times and man it’s just not fair !! He was such a good man to he wasn’t a pc of shit he took care of everyone around him he didn’t care what color you are , he had a mix of black friends white friends , it didn’t matter one bit and not a ounce of racism stigmata in him and I loved that about him because it reminded me of me and how that could help influence more people to be like him !! People just treat those struggling with addiction so badly. The cops just sound like jerks. Addiction doesn’t favor the rich or the poor. It doesn’t care what race you are or religion. Addiction isn’t just for “bad guys”. It grabs hold of mothers, fathers, brothers, sister, friends, kids… treat those struggling with addiction like people because that’s exactly who they are, people.
@jennchristian57592 жыл бұрын
@Cali Red I totally agree ! Except for the statement “Addiction doesn’t favor the rich or the poor”. I disagree with no disrespect but, those cops, judges, mayors etc that are “jerks” are rich. Rich family can afford to put their loved one, family member in a rehabilitation program instead of a state program. There is a big difference… the rich can afford the most innovative solution to help their loved ones. Also, poor people that have addiction issues may not have any family and may live on the street. I could go on and on. I know several rich judges that get away with doing drugs….it’s so sickening but my opinion is it’s totally different from the rich and the poor. That is my opinion from what I have observed around me.

i understand him wishing the documentary wasn’t so focused on his drug use especially being his best friend but i can say i’m soo happy it was and i bet a lot of people can relate to this as well. i related to it a lot, i didn’t think it would effect me like it did but i cry everytime i watch it because i see myself the entire time because of the drug use and it made me just want to be better and do better. it was like seeing myself from an outside perspective which i needed. everytime i listen to juice now i feel a connection to his music so much more than i ever have. i yell his lyrics everytime i play his music bc of the way i relate to what he says and what he went through. the documentary genuinely helped me in so many ways and the way it’s helped me with sobriety is more than anything or anyone else has. it really makes me and many other people feel less alone and will continue to save ppls lives. he’s changed and helped people in an insane amount of ways and that documentary was what i needed to see and will forever hold a place in my heart along w his music.

Unfortunately opioids are basically the perfect drug especially for people who feel empty or like something has always been missing. It makes you feel warm, loved, purposeful, and the way your brain interprets euphoria is literally as whatever feeling or experience would make you the most happy and content with life. So it’s “perfect” for people who have difficulty being okay with life, and while all drugs cause withdrawals opioids are different, they make you violently sick when you stop taking them on top of the regular detox/withdrawal process of your body that needs opioids to function normally going without them.

Watching this deeper in you can tell Chris has bad ptsd from all of this. He hasn’t even 100% dealt with it all you can hear the pain in his voice and him on the break of tears

Need a new interviewer. It’s a good thing Chris is a great speaker and had a lot to say because this girl’s voice and responses made me cringe the entire video 🥴

The noise is called “the death rattle” it happens a lot during opioid overdoses since the ultimate mechanism of death is usually respiratory depression, incredibly sad, I’ve seen several of my best friends die of opioid overdoses and it is a truly ugly way to go and is not something anybody deserves. Absolutely tragic rip juice.

Juice had his stuff routinely tested (at least towards the end) and his last text to Chris was a request to test his stuff. Juice knew his people were going to take the blame for the weapons, etc. Chris said in Chicago, gun charges aren’t that serious and with lawyers, they would be released with no problems. Chris also said Juice didn’t want to die. So why did Juice take all those pills before getting off the plane? Did he think he’d be in jail and wanted to be not sober for as long as possible? It’ll always haunt me.
