Niggas mad Boosie aint put them in debt with him for hundreds of thousands or millions like these labels will do. If Boosie would've given hundreds of thousands or a mill in advance just as an example of a hypothetical situation, he would've had to recoup all that money he got as an advance for Boosie to pay Boosie back n if his projects weren't recouping the money he got in advance he'd literally be in debt wit Boosie n he'd be in an even worse situation wit Boosie had that happened and he'd be even more mad at Boosie for putting him in a fucked deal. I rather stay independent and get a lil advance ik for a fact even if my project flops I'll be able to recoup my advance than to get mills from a label who will sign me for multiple albums and they put me in a real fucked contract imma be stuck in and somehow have to find a way to buy myself out the contract in order to make money again without owing whatever i make to this label cuz of that million dollar advance or sum shit. That's literally why so many artists be mad at they labels cuz the labels will purposely give you more than you're worth n if you cant figure out how to blow up n make them more money than they put into you they gon have you stuck on they label wont let you release music cuz its just gon cost them more money to put out more projects for you that dont even recoup what tbey invested into you. Mfs better be thankful Boosie aint put that kid in debt n keep him in a fucked deal, that's why that kid was able to make so much money under Boosie n didnt owe him shit half the time and if he did it was a small percentage of what he was actually making at the time. Now he's getting advances for ammounts of money he's never had before and if he dont keep going up in his career it'll take years for him to recoup what they invested in him n if he cant do it quick enough wit his music he'll be shelved and have to figure something else out. Hopefully he has someone who can buy him out of a contract but then he gon owe that person money n the label wont let him go for a good deal they wanna get they money back plus some in interest.
