Part 2: • The Game on Becoming a...
--------
In a recent interview, West Coast rapper The Game sat down to discuss his early life, speaking candidly about growing up in a dangerous neighbourhood in Compton. He mentioned how accustomed he'd become at a young age to the prevalent drug use and violence. Recalling his childhood, The Game highlighted the harsh reality of walking his sister to school through gang-ridden areas, an experience mirrored by children in his neighborhood today. He also detailed his time living in foster care, a consequence of domestic issues in his home and an upbringing he described as "unhealthy." The experience hardened him emotionally, a toughness he admits shapes his interactions even today. Despite these trials, however, The Game seems proud of his journey and the resilience it has built within him, continuing to share his story as a testament to his survival and success.

I thought the same ….it made me wonder what she was about. How old was she? What drove her? Was she white or black? I mean that is not the job for everyone but God bless the people built for it. I just mean even if you’re empathetic and you mean well doing that for a while could break some people’s hearts. Cause it’s not always roses and beautiful outcomes So she clearly had a certain kind of strength to create a stable place and provide kids with stability (And no one was saying kids don’t need Dads….they definitely do…..but sometimes situations aren’t perfect…..they’re just balanced enough)

I know it’s a lot of things said about Game but I’m looking forward to this interview. Antics aside, let’s not act like he’s not nice with it on the mic. Them freestyles he used to drop back in the day plus the albums like imo he helped the West Coast post NWA and Eazy E re claim it’s place. Long before Kendrick & TDE, YG & even Nipsey (RIP), Game held it down for Compton/LA Hip Hop.

@@melvinhhcp3615 I can dig that. I broke it all the way down one day. And it's crazy how close it is. The 2 Just Blaze tracks on Doctor's Advocate (Why You Hate The Game, Remedy) are better than the 2 Just Blaze tracks on The Documentary (Church For Thugs, No More Fun and Games). But the two Hi-Tek tracks (Runnin, Ol English) are just as fire to me. Da Shit is a banger like a mf. I like Dreams better than Wouldn't Get Far. But How We Do might be my favorite song from both albums, especially for how hard it hit when it came out. But One Night, California Vacation, One Blood, Bang. It's just so much heat on that album. And he had his own direction and came out with a straight Classic
