I was an extra in the Bulworth movie, the church scene was filmed at my church. I was sat directly in back of Isaiah Washington and during a break, he made it a point to turn around and talk to me. He told me his name, shook my hand and was very friendly and welcoming. He said something funny to me and we even shared a laugh. There was other actors next to him that spoke to no one. I wasn’t far from Halle Berry either and she spoke but that’s it. I was only an extra was very shy and had very low self esteem. I wondered why he was speaking to lil ole me but he did and it made me feel special. That happened years ago but I never forgot it, his kindness was that impactful. That experience taught me to always be kind because you never know who’s life you’re going to impact.

Maybe if he knew what he was talking about it would be more helpful. Arawak are a tribe that we're indigenous to the west indies before Europeans. They didn't have locs because, the group of people he is thinking of that fought against the colonist are the Maroons, who freed themselves and lived in the mountains of Jamaica. The part about dreads being a term used by Rastas is correct, but they grow their hair as part of a Nazarite vows. They believe the dreads gives them power and vow not to cut them.

@@Treize132 If you knew the full story, then you would know he brought it up at the Golden Globes because he was hurt, and he was speaking from his heart, none of that PR work. He is not homophobic, he played a gay man, way before it was fashionable for a straight man to play a gay man; he used to raise LGBTQ awareness before it was fashionable; some of his best mates are gay. He was framed by two white actors whose noses were put out of joint because of his high profile.

I am grateful and thankful for this interview of the wonderful charming Isiah Washington. I have always been a fan of his especially since watching him on the big screen. When he portrayed a character of a preacher in the the movie The Under- Shepard I nearly was at a loss for words He seemed so treacherous and believable. I was late to the party of Grey's Anatomy. I came across a season with his character on DVD at the video store. I had to have and watch his character on all of the following seasons. In my opinion he was the best character however the love interest was so complicated. I would love to see more content and film with him. Love your body of work. He was in Always Out Numbered with Lawrence Fishburn. He was great in that movie as well. I will be waiting and watching for his projects. Thank you.

A seasoned actor! Always loved the movie he did with Stephen Segal & Michael J White! I agree with what he had a problem with on a show…. but sometimes it’s better to jus collect your money & deal with if another way! It’s hilarious thinking about it & how he handled it! I felt where he was coming from! He’ll be ok! Jus keep being You my man 🤠👌👍🏽

He said a lot of things in this part number one he does have a point with the hair specifically black folks hair whether it's in Hollywood are just basically in the workplace I think a lot of people are over it now because I wear my hair is natural and freely as I want.I didn't find Isaiah Washington or didn't hear of him being difficult until he was on Greg's anatomy and that whole scandal he had with calling one of his costars the F word and then that's where his reputation in my opinion really started to become toxic.Bulworth the movie he was in was actually not a bad movie I didn't really get the political satire I thought it was a little all over the place but the core of the movie was about the hood And how certain people and society looked at black folks back in the early to late 90s

I felt that his hair really added to the character. I thought he grew it out "for" the role! How ironic!🤣🤣

I heard it's the same with Martin and Seinfeld. And that Seinfeld was kept on for several years with bad viewing numbers until it finally caught on.

I watched both shows and friends definitely was a copy of living single. They didn’t even change most of the set up except that there was 4 girls and 2 guys vs 3 guys and 3 girls.

Brilliant just listening to the story about the 🔫 gun had me on the edge of my seat. I've been watching his work and his characters and his demeanor always gave me the impression he demanded respect. A person people looked up to.
