Why does Vlad have to correct him on the music stuff? Just let it go and get to what Mr Wright is an expert on. All of Vlad’s interviews regarding Tupac/Biggie are the same….. “ what was your neighborhood like before gangs and crack? What about after the introduction of crack? I never knew about crips and bloods growing up in the bay”. He gets interesting guests but his interviews are often painful.

I’m sorry but this old bird is both a good liar and bad liar. He claimed to know nothing about Keefe because he was a so-called drug dealer and not in a gang or in his words was not a gangster. Well let me tell you that in all the major hoods I know slangin and gang bangin go hand in hand and you can’t run dope game if you not from that hood so he lyin about that. He also said he went straight to Keffe’s momma house even though again he claims not to know shit about him. There are several other things that tells you a lot about where his allegiance is, when dude asks him about the Crips that was in the caddie he said dudes was riders in a not impressed dismissive manner while when he’s asked about the bloods in particular the alleged shooter in the biggie case he lights up like a Xmas tree and almost in a bragging way calls him a hitter among other real killa references. He also sounds sketchy when things about his son are mentioned. So to me they all about cover ups and bullshit.

Very Good interview. I would like to see more similar. You can tell he is basically a good dude. He is like most cops all around America so many see a lot of things they turn their head to and try to make a difference. He just was in an area where it was on steroids and you talking about He is dealing with young idiots with access to millions. What I wish he would have got across to people is most people don't realize how easy it is to find yourself in trouble any day of the week. So many people break laws everyday and don't think anything about. Prison is something that happens to others. Once police in certain areas decide to put down on you they can make life hard and force you into making other bad decisions. Suge life isn't over yet. He may still have a story just yet. You may be surprised what he can accomplish with just a few years of life left on the street. I've been to prison and I'm actually doing better now than ever in my life because I make different choices now because of the things i had time to think about while incarcerated. I gained more education than most while gone but don't have the documentation to back it up. You cannot take what people learn from them. I was exposed to so many faiths and different people. When I went into prison I actually had a guy who was 81 go in with me he gave control to his son of business and money along with affairs by signing power of attorney over. His whole family basically cut him off the man didn't receive a dollar or a visit. So never think you too old for prison or it can never happen to you or your family. It's all types behind them fences. Some real good people and too much lost talent.

I was in Compton (117/Compton) in the late 80’s when I guess he was Captain. I wasn’t a gang-banger and didn’t have a lot of interaction with police…but I vaguely remember him (or at least hearing about him). You have to understand back then it was really about neighborhoods. Everyone was “from” somewhere. However each neighborhood had a group of guys who always seem to have “drama” with other neighborhoods. It was actually a small percentage. I have no idea how it is today but it seems fashionable, so….

And this is years before the Sheriffs took over so we had Compton PD. I was in Compton ISD, a block away from MLK Hospital (in Compton) etc. So go by your internet maps but go to 117/Compton and tell me where you is.

This gentleman is definitely a cop. He chooses his words very slowly and “wisely”. Much differently than his son. At the same time, in all due respect, I don’t trust him anymore than any other cop, sorry, it’s been my experience that police officers don’t always tell they’ll truth. In fact, I’ve had a cop tell me to my face, that, “I’m lucky he didn’t shoot me and fill out the paperwork”. He made it very clear that he’d have no problem shooting me and filling out the paperwork. If he didn’t have my attention before, he certainly had it now. These old school lawmen are basically gangsters in blue uniforms with legal guns.
