I understand what Vlad is saying here about Puff Daddy being a suburban kid who got intoxicated by the street life. People gotta realize that when guys like Denzel, Puff, Al B Sure and Heavy D were growing up in Mt. Vernon in the late sixties throughout the late eighties that was a very middle class town with nice modest homes and tree line streets. This is undeniable. Just like Compton was a suburban area 40 years ago when guys like Suge Knight were coming up. All the guys mentioned were college educated kids from suburban middle class families who chose to get involved with the streets. However, those wannabes can become very dangerous if you don’t check them early on. Michael is definitely on point too with his take.

It's like Southfield. Right next to Detroit. A ratchet dude just shot a Chipotle worker there over guacamole this past weekend. 😂😅 I've seen TK Kirkland live at Punchline Comedy Club twice in Southfield too.

Key word is "Allure" adrenaline..the rush..living now crash when you can't handle the speed..thats how you know you alive..but to push the brakes and control the helms is realness also..being hood or street doesn't mean you have to be from a gang or sell dope but the bond of camaraderie shared amongst those whom share the same parts of the struggle outside of each own path.

One of the deepest convos I've seen on here. I completely agree with Michael..... I never was a street dude, but my friends in South Central were, and hanging with them in the 90s and 2000s was some of the funnest times I ever had....lol

@JitinMisra Because I never knee what was going to happen with them. I was a "square", hangin with dudes who weren't. They were friends I made as a child, and I moved away when I was 11---- and when I would go back to L.A.----- this was the 80s--- and Gangbaning really took off.... So I had a unique view of the lifestyle that someone else would never see...... Your Boys are your Boys, no matter what path you choose in life....
