The HC motion taillights are good without sealing strips. I had 3 hc motion tail lights on my cousin car, my brother, and mine for almost 4 years now went through rainstorms and everything. I have friends who have theirs over almost 5-6 years when it first came out still no problems. But if you want to be safe then I said go for it!!
