I remember I seen this tweet a long time ago that said “why does everyone always call someone who sets boundaries and does thing for their own peace a villain etc”. I agree . It’s not a villain era. You’re just finally choosing you over everyone else and protecting your peace. You finally know your worth and you’re making the right decisions . People always assume protecting peace and benefiting yourself is considered bad but they just are mad they can’t take up your energy and disrupt you. I’m so proud of this journey because I’ve been on this journey and I’m still figuring it out as well. I’m only 16 and I’ve been on my self discovery journey since I was 14😭. I’m also trying to figure myself out and become better and I’m with you every step of the way! Always choose yourself because you’re all you have. In case you don’t know how your KZbin videos inspire people let me be the one to say this. At any down point in my life Or when I felt like I was on my own and that I was starting to slowly find my way back into depression, I’d always go to your KZbin channel scroll to the very first video I watched all the way to the bottom and start there. Honestly you taught me that it’s ok to make boundaries for yourself you shouldn’t feel bad for protecting your peace. A lot of ppl will get mad bc I choose not to tolerate what they use to do but that’s them. It’s ok to be yourself and be a emotional person you can’t change that. What every characteristics that come with you make you- you. Idk but being the first born daughter I didn’t have anyone to look up to but you changed that and kinda gave that big sister role. I know we don’t know each other personally but I really enjoy being apart of this community you built of great individuals. Like I’m going into my senior year of highschool and like back then I would want to know how ppl perceived me. Like umm I would be insecure about the way I laugh or what music I like or if I wore this ppl wouldn’t like me. I was crying last night as I wrote in my journal about how I'm going to be selfish and not feel bad about it. Last night I was making something to eat and it was around 9/10 pm and my mom came out of her room to ask my why I keep going out of my room when she's not there. What I really wanted to say is that "I don't like being in your presence" but I kept quiet. I just don't like being around her because it's always lecture after lecture and she doesn't value a words I say, she doesn't listen to me, she keeps correcting what I'm saying as if I don't know what I'm saying. Then she'll tell me I'm selfish because I don't ask her if she's hungry or if she needs tea but she never asks me that, she never asks if I'm okay. After realizing that I was struggling mentally she never asked how I'm doing. All she yells about is chores. And when I try to express myself "it's because you're always in your room, you're making yourself like this" and I just can't stand anymore. And she always says if I can't live by her rules I should leave and she's been saying that since I was I'd because she knows ain't no where else I could go. And she still confidently says this thinking since I'm 20 with no job I ain't leaving anytime soon but I can't take it anymore. I don't want to be anywhere near my mom and it breaks my heart that I even feel that way but she doesn't value me or cherish me. I do want to be alone, and I love being alone, I'm safe and I value my emotions and feelings. Why would I be in the presence of people who don't so that they don't see me as selfish and disrespectful. I'm done. I can't keep crying every night over how much my mom has hurt me. She's the only person who I am reseptive too. Like I genuinely couldn't care less about anyone else's words but my mom's always cut me and I wanna leave so I can heal and when I'm strong enough I can listen to her say the same things and not have my heart ache or fight back tears. Until I can do that I need to leave.
