Diving with huge nurse sharks on Fulidhoo island (Maldives) is easier than you think! Nurse sharks hang out in front of Alimatha Resort every night (they were feeding them 10 years ago) so there is probably 99% probability that you will dive with them. The dive spot is 1 h drive away with Fulidhoo Dive's speed boat and usually starts at sunset.
There were dozens of nurse sharks on our dive but sometimes there can be even 200! They call it shark soup :) The sharks are not afraid of divers, are curious and swim around you, under you and sometimes touch you. The best thing to see is when they land just by you and turn around to scratch their backs! A beuatiful sunset/night dive that every diver has to experience. Oh, and the starry sky seen from the sundeck on the way back to Fulidhoo is amazing. Enjoy the shark soup!
