First time moving my hands to the base-tube.
At first I was intimidated but I quickly started feeling comfortable flying in the prone position.
I definitely have to work on getting the timing of transitioning back to the upright position right for landing.
By the way I’m flying school’s training glider Alpha 180.

Great flying! One suggestion, once you release pull the rope from over the bar to behind it. If it catches on someting on your landing it can make for a bad day because it will jerk the base bar down. Keep up the progress!

Thank you so much for this advice because I meant to ask Steve about that. There were a couple flights during this class and the previous class my foot got caught on the cable a little while landing and running. Ill talk to him about it.

Good to see more progress happening. You are going really well! Take note of how wide apart your hands are when on the base bar, the wider they are the more likely you are to put a turn in to the glider when switching your hands up on to the down tubes 🤓
@nanoraflyz
@nanoraflyz Жыл бұрын
Ahhhh, that kinda makes sense! Cus when you move a hand back to a downtube, briefly the weight inserted on the basetube is only by the other hand..so it’s better to have the hand placed toward the center to keep the glider’s path straight. Wow thank you!!!!

Great to see a new hang glider pilot in the making! Our paragliding club has few, and they're not exactly young. Those things are so sleek and fast. And rigid.

I enjoy watching your videos! No annoying music, just the wind. I can almost feel how to fly one just by watching your videos. So please don't speed up the video in certain segments!😀 I definitely have to try this some day! The instructor on the scooter confused me at first until I researched how the scooter tow system works! Can't wait to see the truck tows!

Thank you Kris. Yes I love the sound of rushing wind when I’m flying and I want you guys to hear that’s why I don’t put music on. If I could just make it the way I want I wouldn’t fast forward at all but each flight is getting longer as I progress and flying a little higher. Just trying to keep my video shorter so I can include more flights. Thank you so much. It makes me happy to hear that you enjoy my video😊

Enjoying watching you train. Keeps me smiling. Started paragliding this year, spent a month in France in Annecy going off big stuff. Sky crowd was so fun at the Doussard LZ with all types of flyers! So awesome...Thanks for sharing : )

Nice job..Always a good take off followed by a safe landing..All you need to be a good pilot. In the air it's your time..make it as long as possible given the conditions. And always check the wing..dont get distracted before you launch.

@@nanoraflyz You are doing great. When I learnt we trained on rogolla, we called "The Brick".. Winch towing was dangerous and no movie cameras..Still the results were the same..gradual progression and fly safe..no wingovers..
