I have to say I have never seen a much more beautiful wedding as this one the decor took the cake seeing this done at a home is unbelievable, at first I was looking for the name of the hall , then I realized it was a house. Beautiful people, well dressed.decoration absolutely perfect, you had me crying. Hats of to the family well done. I will never forget this wedding. Only one thing I wished I could have seen this in person. BLESSINGS TO ALL.

Buss up Shot roti, pumpkin talkari, curried channa and aloo, curried chataigne (breadnut), bhagi (spinach), mango talkari, karhi and rice and mother-in-law (spicy condiment) . Then we had scalloped potatoes, mixed vegetables, fried rice and stew peas for the reception.

OMG fabulous. Except for the roti and rice all other things are new to me. A typical south Indian wedding will have four course mean- plain white rice would be served with Thick spicy tamarind sause (Kolambu), Spicy dal (sambar), thin tamarind soup (rasam) and curd (plain yougurt). This would be accompanied by several vegetables, fried items and sweets. BTW do they serve non-veg and alcohol for wedding and receptions?

+Aravindhan Vivekanandhan Wow, the menu sounds fabulous. No meat but we had wine. We would have had meat but because the wedding took place the same place we had the reception, that's why we didn't have.

That makes sense. In most Indian hindu wedding non-veg and alcohol are not served. BTW after the wedding the bride and you were dancing as they walked. Is it part of the wedding custom? That was something very unique which I have never seen in Indian weddings. Also it seems you and your mother seem to have a prominent role in the rituals while your dad and brother took a back seat!!! Again in Indian weddings it is the other way round. The bride's father, the groom's father and the bride's brother perform most wedding customs while women just help them do those things.
