What’s up everyone, another day knocking cars out one after the other. Today we dyno tuned a bnr600 and the results were great…Ryan said it’s reading 40-50whp off so that is great for a 93 tuned ecoboost!

Crazy sometimes how I gotta keep reminding myself to keep on grinding. Cus damn making a reliable 600ish eco seems like a money pit lol but I’m also from PR where we got 1.5 liter or rotaries smacking high Hp. Tbh I find it too be perfect at that HP and being a daily. Good stuff guys 😎

Isnt BNR 600 suppose to hit 600hp? Why is it stuck on 355? Or in order to get 600hp u need a tune or something?

In order to reach 600 you’ll need supporting mods plus a built engine to hold it. A stock engine can only hold so much.

So thats what, roughly 370-380whp? Whats the 2022/2023 Ecoboost Mustang with FBO, BNR600, E30 put down with stock fueling? Curious what are the limits on the stock fueling with that platform and if its similar to my 2016 Focus ST. Turbo is the first limit, then the HPFP and injectors (or aux fuel), then if you go north of 500whp you're looking at a LPFP (in tank). My buddy just installed a BNR600 on his FBO Mustang and they did an E30 tune TODAY. But I'm curious if its worth it if even at 93oct he's hitting his injector limits up top, like the Focus (stock fuel is about 370-380whp regardless fuel type). Then with aux fuel (more injectors), or the HPFP and injectors, you can easily run ethanol and get to 430whp+ with little effort (your injectors and fuel type will determine your top figure at that point). Can get a lot more if you're wiling to blow the engine, but most big turbo STs are limiting their power to the 'safe zone' of about 420-440whp. He was running a Scat Pack Challenger and a newer Supra last week leaving a meet..I was right next to them all lined up. Eco Mustang held his own at first (had the stock turbo last week) but the Scat pulled on him up top pretty good...then I was already walking them both, and me and the Scat went 2 more times. Each time i had MAJOR clutch slippage from 3 to 4 and 4 to 5, but even with a 4-5second delay during shifts while the clutch tried to keep up, i was pulling away from him pretty easily. Now that he's got his BNR600, I'm curious if he's still going to be injector limited and he may not even need the E30 until he gets upgraded injectors. He's straight piped and it sounds pretty mean for a 4 banger. We'll likely run again soon with his new turbo and see what happens. I guess at first I was expecting to hear bigger numbers..especially if you're choosing such a high hp capable turbo.. prob better off with a 525 since even that is a pretty high number that'll require a full engine build (and likely the 2.0 bottom end lol) and big turbos are not always the answer for street cars if you sacrifice a lot of the power curve to the left. I keep forgetting these mustangs are running a Focus RS set up XD

@@mr2.3L oddly that week he was going to a meet and busted the motor. Long story short, his recently installed oil cooler had the wrong fitting on it and was waiting on the proper one to be shipped. So it sat too low..i even said "that suckers going to catch and spew oil everywhere, be careful!"... THAT NIGHT he caught it on a pot hole. Must've ran it for a short time without oil and didn't realize it. Motor seized. It sat for 3 months in a shop and now he finally got it back last night. AFAIK, its got a lightly built motor with the bigger turbo and possibly stock fueling for now. I'll find out soon, but I'm curious if he's faster than my Focus ST now 😅

From driving both personally, they both hit very different, bnr def has better top end bit also hits later

Im really hoping mine makes more power than this. Ill be pretty disappointed if it isnt at or really close to 400whp and more torque.

Dyno tuning isn’t about numbers. We have plenty of cars beat cars well over their hp. It’s to be able to fully tune the car with seeing how the graph looks, etc.

@@ParkerPerformanceFL I get that, but it matters a little.....Peak power isnt everything, but it sure does help. Either way Ryan is gonna make it run great.

@@ParkerPerformanceFL i usually dont care about numbers either...but there is a 'target' number you want if you're looking to beat certain competition (and you want to justify the thousands you've spent on upgrades). The science and math doesnt lie...a well tuned car making 300whp will NEVER walk away from a fbo S550 making 480whp. It might on tight tracks or back roads (i know from experience).. but we're talking straight line highway fun here. Thats why my Focus ST goal was 430whp/430wtq or so. The v8's dont bother me anymore when I see them pull up for a 60 or 70mph pull...now i get a lot of 'wtf' looks ^_^

They can make 600rw but you have to have a fuel system and other mods so the engine can handle it. Also, some tuners a lot more conservative than others.

Why is it making such low numbers?!?!? I got a 2020 ecoboost that’s full bolt on on a stock turbo, stock fuel system, and stock block making 340hp and 400ftlbs tq at the wheels on a dyno on 93 pump gas!! With a bnr 600 you should be well over 400hp and up around 500Ftlbs tq on 93. Why are your numbers so low? I have dyno sheets from 2 separate dynos that show my Hp and tq numbers are better than yours with a stock turbo!
