Vlog 17: Singapore Living, Famous Prawn Noodles, Fishing With Lures, D’Best Premium Pond Pasir Ris

A simple life vlog, living and fishing in Singapore.
Good day! It’s another day of simple meals and fishing prep for a freshwater session. Freshwater fishing was uneventful but nothing beats a yummy breakfast of prawn noodles, ngoh hiang and tea as a consolation and dinner with my girlfriend in the evening. Met the folks for brunch at ITE College Central. Had a nice and affordable chicken rice and cup of coffee there. Dinner was economic rice with coffee and dessert before continuing with more video editing. Another fishing day was upon us as I prepped the necessary Rapala gear for the session at D’Best Premium Pond. The usual peaceful bus ride over before meeting Nigel for a rather tough fishing session. The water levels were unusually high. It was still a great session as I had some solid hits (check out the blistering run by a suspected CPC!) and dropped fish with Nigel landing 3 fish in total. Worked really hard and ended the session late. Congee dinner at the hawker centre before heading home to wash up the gear and settle down to a cup of iced coffee.

Thanks for the comment! Just to clarify, do you mean the connection knot for braided line to fluorocarbon leader? And fluorocarbon leader to snap connection? If so, I can do something in time to come 👍

What's the pricing at the pond? Can you bring home your catches? I got a last question, how do you wash your reel when the line is on? Like to watch your videos.

Thanks for the comment and support! For the pricing of the pond, you can follow the link in the video description to the D’Best website. It will give you all the information you need 👍 The premium pond is a catch and release pond only, but all other ponds at D’Best will allow you to take home your catches. For reel maintenance, I simply lock down the drag and flush it under running water from a tap or shower head. Will wash the entire reel, giving special attention to the spool to get rid of as much salt build up there is inside. About 20-30 seconds. After that, shake the reel to get rid of as much water there is in and around it, then loosen the drag and leave it out to dry. Hope this helps! ✌️
