Question when it’s slow do they send you home or do they lay off drivers with less seniority?

The slowest it’s been was during the pandemic. Routes had less stops so it was definitely a shorter day, but the company had drivers working 4 days and on rotation to spread work to those that stuck around. I’ll have to ask my senior driver about the lay off. I’ll get back to you on that!

Senior driver said there was a big layoff and some people even quit. He isn’t sure if drivers were laid off by seniority or performance. Now that we’re union, layoffs will start at the bottom of seniority.

@@paulgarza2231 food service delivery is a great steady industry to work in! If another restaurant shut down happens, just know we still deliver to nursing homes, hospitals, prison, schools, rehab and mental health facilities. Everyone’s got to eat. Good luck bro!
