What is your secret weapon to look totally fresh after an exhausting day from the first week of school? You looked as good in the going home part as the first part of the day! I'm so jealous. LOL It's always a surprise to start over with a new group and they're so much "younger" in classroom behaviors than what they are at the end of school. They mature so much in first grade, it's always a bit of a surprise for me to see the new group not be as mature. You know in your mind but when reality hits, it's different.

We can’t eat in the classmate at all because it isn’t a restaurant or a cafeteria or a kitchen!! That’s why the sign said no foods or drinks allowed.

Do teachers get to choose the grade they teach and can they teach that grade for many years?

Not always. They are put where they are needed but can let their site know what they are looking for and they have the agency to say no in mosttttttt cases. But that means more interviewing and job searching.
