The Iloilo City government release thousands of different varieties of fish fingerlings every year and fishermen are fishing both for food and recreation. Some lucky fishermen have caught large fishes that weighs around 20 lbs.

You can also climb up the ILOILO CITY HALL, 8th floor, via elevator to the 7th floor, then climb the stairs up to the rooftop where you can see and take photos of the Lin-ay so Iloilo (Lady of ILOILO), and also view the entire city and the clean river and part of the Esplanades.

Beside the Bavaria resto is the PATPAT'S KANSI HOUSE Restaurant, serving KANSI, ILOILO's Bulalo dish.

You missed Garin Farm in San Joaquin. Along the way, stopover at the century-old Spanish-era churches in Villa Arevalo, Tigbauan, Guimbal, Miag-ao ( the only UNESCO-listed World Heritage Church outside of Luzon and only one of the four listed churches from the Philippines), and San Joaquin churches.

Naku, IIRC the Esplanade closes at 11PM kaya cguro madilim na when you guys arrived. Sunset is the best time there specially kung you get a golden or ruby sunset.

POPOY'S LA PAZ BATCHOY is the Best. Located at the Iloilo Central Market (now under renovation), and also at the Robinson's Place Iloilo-Downtown mall, at the De Leon street side, in front of the Mang Inasal store, which is the first Mang Inasal store in the Philippines. All the public markets in Iloilo City are under renovation right now.
