My sincere apologies. The DR-Z isn't fuel injected and still uses a carburetor fuel system. As for the acronym "DR-Z", there are many sources to the name. Some say it's named after a guy who sponsored the Suzuki race team, "Dr. Z", some say it's "Dakar Rally-Zeta", maybe it means nothing. As much as we want, we'd like to present this videos in a positive and accurate light. But alas, as a 1 man operation who is doing this on a part time basis, there is bount to be mistakes. If you want bike review videos talking about accurate specs, there are other better videos out there than this. For us, we mostly deal with owner's experiences with the bike. Also, these videos are solely for entertainment purposes and not meant to be taken seriously.

I had bought a used DRZ400 S for my first bike, rode that bike any chance I could get even in the snow a couple of times. My wife was getting mad because I was always out riding, about 10,000 miles in a little over a year. Had to sell it, a year later I bought a 2012 Kawasaki Versys 650, great bike plenty of power for me. As of last year I had bought a 2019 DRZ400 SM new from the dealer. I missed riding DRZ, definitely a great fun bike for riding around town and can keep up with most sport bikes on the tight windy roads. Always like to see other peoples prospective, especially from out side the US. Thanks for the video and ride safe.

Major cons : once upon a time when it was at its peak, this bike and gilera st200 is not just a chic magnet, its a freaking LTA magnet for tail tidy mod. Which will lead to other parts of the bike. Lol. Drz will be a fuel guzzler once u change to big keihin carbs and add hotcams.

bro. get your facts straight. the person you are interviewing doesn't even know that the bike is carburated and not fuel injected??? drz definitely does not mean dakar rally zeta. where is this coming from? highway cruising can be done by reducing the sprocket size. This is a given for any bike - higher top speed but reduced acceleration. the wires that are jutting out at the front is a brake hose line and the speed sensor wire. How is that a front brake light? i strongly suggest you do your pre interview questions beforehand and cross check with facts elsewhere. This interview is quite misleading and i'm pretty sure you guys are tripping off other motard riders.

My apologies. All of this was based on light research of the DR-Z. Several sources also citied that "DR-Z" means "Dakar Rally Zeta". We try our very best to present the videos in a positive and as much as possible, accurately. But alas, there's only the 2 of us, Zar and myself, with me doing most of the research and post production. We'll do better in the next one, and thank you for the feedback and support.

@@rockyrbdy @rockyrbdy being scared to be interviewed has nothing to do with the point i'm trying to raise across. most of the time people don't want to be interviewed because they are just shy. the biggest issue here is the target audience that these videos are directed to. Correct me if i'm wrong Farhan or whoever, that these videos are catered to guys looking to buy the bike or maybe just getting their license. when a video has misleading facts, this creates false information. when false information is given to the masses, it just goes to show how much preparation was done prior to making this video. okay la let's say now the philip guy doesn't know that it's not FI. i honestly think it's fine and can be forgiven. maybe some other motard riders might be thinking, "eh sialah kau naik drz pun tak tau ni motor carb kimek rabakkkkkkk". but alamak should have double check first the facts man. that's all i have to say lol
