Some have lived for 20 years. But on average 12-17 years if health is good and maintained well.

@@madexgonzales1470 Volkodavs are very diverse in size. Three categories for them, lightweight, middleweight and heavyweight. They range from 70cm to the withers up to and exceeding a metre at the withers. Both have natural guarding capabilities. Both will defend naturally. There is no exact winner here tbh. Sorry for the slow response. I have been on a trip to Romania for filming for the channel, and since ive been back have been unwell!
