Hey, Switzerland looks wonderful. I was recently offered a PhD position at UNIL, but I am doubtful whether or not to accept it since I have a possible position in Scotland. So, could you just briefly give me a review of the PhD life in Lausanne?

Congratulations....Indeed Switzerland is a lovely place and UNIL offers a great research environment and is located in a very dynamic and beautiful city Lausanne. I enjoy my time here at UNIL and hope you would love it too if you come for your PhD. I don't know which dept./institute you will be joining but you will love your time at UNIL in general. So, it's upto you to decide and welcome to Lausanne (if you finally decide). Best of luck
