Vlog 34: How To Catch Peacock Bass On Minnows? Lure Fishing In Singapore At Kranji Reservoir!

A planned solo trip to Kranji Reservoir Fishing Grounds to hunt for peacock bass using minnows. Took the bike for a ride too! On the whole, it was a successful trip with multiple hits and misses with some nice fish landed! Always love it when a plan comes to fruition.

Change to single hooks, higher chance of freeing your lure if it caught the weeds. Though if it hooks on to trash like plastic bags, its most likely a goner.

@@jackt4274 yeah but in general it’s not worth dealing with it the catch rate is awful there’s so much trash and baiters and people leaving stingrays to die on the bank it’s just gross and there is so many better places to go.

Hi I have been fishing this month at bedok reservoirs more than 50 hour and had no luck i was mostly using crank baits do you have any suggestions what lures and locations are the best

Hi there! Thanks for the comment! I’ve done a few vids on Bedok Reservoir but had the most success at the location in Vlog 14 (kzbin.info/www/bejne/naKwgqxol8Skos0). It’s the stretch beside the pump house nearest to the HomeTeam NS. Micro jigs and soft plastics should do the trick. Heard of anglers catching on topwater as well. Give it a go and hope you can get a break through and land some fish there 👍
