Anyone can, with practice, learn to wire weld and the equipment is quite reasonable. A 250A machine or better will do and used industrial wire welders are often easy to find. While that shop is sweet you can build on levelled welding stands outdoors if you lack space. Overhead cover is easy to make. Plasma cutters are highly desirable but someone practiced with a torch can produce excellent results. See boatbuilding forums for many methods the professionals use because labor is most of a build cost.

Nice boat, looks very sturdy, how thick is the steel?
@makinganarrowboatwithnannyandg Жыл бұрын
Thankyou John, The steel in 10mm baseplate 6mm sides and 4 or 5mm roof (can't remember). It does feel very sturdy 👍

I have only just found your channel and love it! I also loved the typical British workmanship 'if it don't fit, hit it with a big 'ammer!'😂

How wonderful for you to be able to film all of this for your grandchildren to watch. I’m a Nana in Brisbane watching this. All the best. I will watch all your vlogs. ❤️

Thankyou Vicky. Yes it is already great to look back at the vlogs that they were in. They have grown so much. In the future we are sure they will look back with many happy memories. We made some great friends in Brisbane when we travelled around your beautiful country. 2 of them friends came to see us on the boat this year while they were traveling around the uk. More fabulous memories 👍 Thankyou for watching, glad to have you on board 👍

Nice to see it being built...who is the boat builder.....
@russellesimonetta38352 жыл бұрын
Uhh,, I think a square stern is best. Just a little more rear deck space. Also a small as possible wet room toilet shower area to maximize the living area. Lots of ideas but challenging.
@makinganarrowboatwithnannyandg2 жыл бұрын
Hi Russell, yes i think the square sterns have more room. You will see in later episodes how we did the shower room👍
