A tip for the crib (cot) ... put down a waterproof mattress protector, then a fitted sheet. Then ANOTHER waterproof mattress protector, then another fitted sheet. This is invaluable for those middle of the night blowouts or throw ups. Just take off the soiled pieces, and VOILA! Clean crib!

I had two c-sections. My first was the same as you, my baby boy would not flip. He actually kept his head right close to mommas chest the entire time and never was face down believe it or not. I was 31 years old and we both were completely healthy the whole time, he just wouldn't flip! I woke up to an awful pain that I never felt before and my c-section was scheduled literally the next day! I rushed to the hospital that night and I was having contractions with a one centimeter dilation, so we went ahead and started getting ready for my c-section. We did the same exact thing as getting the epidural, the needle in the spine to get you numb from waist down. I felt a small pinch and with this I think you get more numbing than the other because I was numb from like chest down lol. They lay you down and put a curtain up right at your chest so you don't have to watch what's going on. The doctor was very vocal on letting you know ok this is what I'm doing, very step by step. I never felt a thing! It took literally ten minutes and he was here! Your spouse is right next to you by your head and holding your hand, they stand behind the curtain as well so they don't have to see if they don't want to. When they pulled him out, you hear that little scream and baby you will just cry with happiness cause you know he's out and have arrived into the world! They lift baby right to you and lay them right next to your face to kiss and hear your voice. Such a beautiful moment! My second was last year at the age of 34 and was the same beautiful moment with my daughter. This is what I want you to take from all this Nikkia, you will not feel any pain, at the end of the day, it doesn't matter how you give birth, you are giving birth no matter from what area on the body and its still the same and still a beautiful experience. The last part will make you happy, my second child was not breached and she was face down and ready to go. Since my first was just a breach situation and not anything medically wrong to where I had to get a c-section whether I liked it or not, I still had a choice to either have her vaginally or c-section again. So that means if you get pregnant again down the line, you most likely can have the kind of birth you are wanting! I just chose c-section again because it was quick and easy and my recovery time for both was like 3-4 days in the hospital and was fine like not even a week later. My cut healed beautifully and was super small and pretty much was all healed in I think 2 weeks. I mean my experience wasn't anything horrible and wasn't a long recovery at all. I promise you have nothing to be worried about, you got this momma and sending all the good vibes yall's way❤❤❤

My kids are adults now but #1 & 3 were breech and #2 was failure to progress so…. 3 C/S. I actually was okay with it because I knew it was safest for baby and in addition to parenting being largely “go with the flow” - your entire life will be about keeping him safe so this just starts for you with a C/S. Pain control is better now and in the US mom stays 3 nights. I was allowed to drive “when I could move feet from pedal to pedal. I did take it easy as best I could. Only lifted baby first couple of weeks. Each day was better than the previous. You’ve got this!!

I had C-sections for both our children, and the sadness leaves the moment you hear that baby cry!! My friend had a difficult vaginal birth a week before I had my first C-section. My recovery was much easier than hers, unfortunately. I had a flat tummy, and pain from the surgical site, but that went away after several weeks. Trust me Nikkia, you and Brandon will be so happy to have that little boy, you won't care how he got here!!!

Congratulations! I had to have a C-section. It wasn't planned, but while at the hospital my second epidural wouldn't take and myself and the baby were struggling. I was of course upset, but I was more concerned for my baby boy. As I was getting prepared for the C-section, the epidural for that also wasn't taking and I was told after that i could feel them poking me to test for feeling. I ended up having an emergency C-section. I didn't even get to see my baby boy being born and he also had to be taken to the NICU after. I never got to experience any of it. For you, you will still get to hear your baby cry and have him next to you once he's born. You will feel so extremely happy and full of love regardless.

I'm sorry I can't offer any insight on having a cesarean since both my boys were vaginal deliveries, but neither of them went according to plan. Babies just seem to do their own thing in their own damn good time. Regardless of whether you have a vaginal birth or cesarean, the main thing is that mom and baby are both safe and healthy. Wishing you the absolute best birth experience ❤️ Baby boy's nursery is beautiful!

I have one child and went through the same thing. I actually did have contractions the day I went in for the C section I promise you I wouldn’t have it any other way. The recovery js actually better because your vag isn’t torn and healing. I literally was straightening my house up within four days. Don’t be scared when it’s over you will be thankful you’ll get a different kind of support from Brandon actually more because the first few days you need that help. I was terrified but knowing what I know now I would have the c section every time if I had a choice. ❤

I had the same with 2nd baby turned breach the last 3 weeks had a Caesarian had epidural so was awake. Also when you awake husband can come in. After take one step at a time concentrate on you and baby. Also if they give you painkillers carry on taking them as you may feel great so stop and boy it hurt (I was that silly person felt good so didn’t take and was in pain so started them again for a week )

I can honestly tell you a c section isn't too bad you won't feel it as it happens, you'll be completely numb for a while then when the feeling comes back you will slowly be able to start moving around. There is some pain but you'll have relief for that I had an emergency c section with my first son and an elected one with my second the recovery rate with my first was worse than with my second with my second I was shopping in Newcastle 3 days after having my section xx

I had two. Recovery is very painful. I cried in pain very often. I made the nurses give me my painkillers at the same time on the dot or I was inconsolable. This is with my second one. The first wasn’t as bad. My friend who also had one was just on Tylenol. She was up walking around like the first day. She must have a high pain tolerance. I hope that your c-section goes better than mine. Moshi

So cute! You should consider getting a dirty diaper disposer bin type of thing for your changing station or a big trash can for his en suite bathroom. You wouldn't believe how much trash a baby generates hahaha.
@celinescrappassion21843 ай бұрын
i had 2 c sections for my 2 boys. They were big babies, one was 9 lbs and the other one was 8.5 lbs. The forst C section was not planned. They did an emergency C section after the baby's heart beat was going down. That C section took me a while to recover because there was a uterine tear when they did the C section because they did it quickly for the baby. But the second C section was planned and I recovered much quickly. Like, i was walking straight the next day.

The nursery is beautiful, congrats...have you thought of buying a snooze bassinet as you could be morecin your bedroom then you think,or co sleeping for sanity, keep all options open....🙏🙏🙏 ps ergopouch onsies and sleeping bags are brilliant, and the first few months the dress with the elastic ones are brilliant for a quick late night change/s..... PS buy yourself some heat packs/cool packs for breastfeeding to help with milk flow.... also the belly massage done properly works well to flip bubs just need to find thr right person ask paediatrician.

This makes me question my last birth - my son flipped and I was in the hospital getting my final sonogram when they saw he flipped but they still had me deliver naturally. They used different tools and machines to assist him getting out but I really wonder if this was even safe for him.

You can hire breast pumps from pharmacies, if you have a UFS near you or you can hire from the hospital or the MCHN will know! It will save you some money and get you a hospital grade pump to try early on before you buy anything. I ended up with a spectra portable pump from my sister in law! Just got new tubes etc. It was a single pump and was fine. Even at hospital I only pumped one side at a time, otherwise it was way too overwhelming for me! Just a heads up, the midwives will milk you like a cow at hospital - it seems totally normal though lol! I breast fed both of my daughters until they were 3 - I had enough by then 😅

Ok, so the birth will not go as planned… they never do. I ended up having an emergency csection with my first after 18 hours of labor and a scheduled one with my son. The pros: you won’t feel any labor pain!!! Brandon will still be there with you, you will still see baby right after he is born. Your bottom region will remain intact. No ripping down there. The cons, it is surgery. But you will recover. And a planned csection without labor pains is a good thing!
