omg I wish my friends and family would stick to the registry 😂 when I had my daughter (5 years ago) - we were given an entire wardrobe from a family friend who had lost their daughter at 18 months old, about 8 weeks before my shower. so on our invitations we asked that people refrained from buying clothing, as we were basically set …. That’s all I freaking got - clothes 😂 I had to buy EVERYTHING, from the small things like binkies and bottles to crib sheets and a bassinet. don’t get me wrong, I’m extremely grateful that my people even went out of their way to shop for Cara & I … but at that point there was no point in doing a shower 😂😭 this time around I think we’re keeping the gender a secret until after the shower so that my other half & I can go clothes shopping on our own 😂
