As a girl with daddy issues, I'm happy you were able to mend the relationship with your father. For me, I think just because someone is family doesn't mean you have to have a relationship with them if all they ever do is hurt you. Of course its important to move on from the past, and process emotions from the past, but if that person still continues to hurt you its not worth the pain to have them around you. Saying this all out of love of course. I chose to love from a distance at this point

Speaking of "dad issues " ny dad is an alcoholic and has been for the last 10 years .... he straight up beat my mom so much and even would hit on me before I moved out.. but , I've forgiven him but he has gotten so worse and idk what to do anymore he is already too far gone he has gone to rehab and everything .
