I would’ve thought you’d’ve hosted a combined wedding shower. The gifts a a shower are for both the bride AND groom. It’s not like the bride will be the only one using a toaster oven.

How is it moving at "breakneck speed"? Engagements are not supposed to be long and drawn out. You get engaged, you plan, you marry. THAT is how it's supposed to be. She got engaged some time in April, and it looks like her wedding date is early December. That's usually the amount of time it takes to plan a wedding. It probably just seems fast because for some reason people have long drawn out engagements these days. Engagement means, you're ready to get married. So you plan, and you get married. Not breakneck speed at all. She's just doing it the proper way.

As a woman who has planned not only my own wedding, been a bridesmaid/MOH multiple times and planned 2 of my adult children’s weddings, I simply know how much work it is & they are doing such a nice job in a relatively short amount of time. It’s simply moving swiftly time wise. That is again, NOT a negative thing, simply an observation in that it seems “like just yesterday they got engaged”, kind of the way watching your children grow happens “overnight” when we all know they do not LITERALLY grow overnight. Obviously C & C have been dating a while so maybe they already had ideas about how they wanted things. And not sure there’s a “proper way” to be engaged as it is all personal but just as a matter of FACT the average engagement in America is between 12 & 18 MONTHS. I certainly hope you have a lovely evening and are able to enjoy some much needed relaxation. ✌🏼

@@studyhardplayhard5086 perhaps it’s the term breakneck speed which seems to spin you up resulting in the rest of your lengthy statement ending with yet another defense that she is doing it the “proper way” as of anyone who says anything else regarding engagement timelines is just wrong when AGAIN FACTS contradict you. You attempted to school me in the purpose of an engagement, which shockingly, yes, I knew it meant that you were ready to marry and so many people don’t see it as a race based on the 12-18 month mark but just the time THEY require to plan, make selections, book venues and the desired photographers & entertainment and select all the myriad of details like food, flowers, place settings, linens, wines, signature drinks, arranging hotels for guests, guests themselves, attendants & their schedules need to be taken into account. Alterations to gowns, some even travel to bigger places to find their gowns & do their fittings. Lots & lots of STUFF. Lots of effort. Lots of detail. I myself had a few different showers and bachelorette parties & they were just a smidge closer to the wedding. But to clarify breakneck speed simply means VERY FAST. That is all. So in 3 months they have moved very fast with dresses & showers & parties and it all looks beautiful. I don’t have ANY problem beyond internet people making ignorant mountains out of moron molehills. Especially as you are clearly uninformed on several things that resulted in your attempt to dressing me down, one being your misunderstanding of breakneck and the other being how long the average engagement is. You used those 2 things to school me & you were wrong. And again the fact that I paid Ann a compliment & gave a 💙 should have told anyone w/ a functioning cerebral cortex that I am friend NOT foe. Then I even EXPLAINED myself to you to clear up any confusion or misconception about me and my comment. I am a pretty effective communicator, I actually communicate life & death (literally) medical matters to others daily and am pretty good at it so point being, if I were trying to be offensive to Emily, her mother or sisters, it would have been much more clear & not camouflaged between my admiration for her moms hard work & a heart in the color of the Something Blue Bachelorette. I certainly hope you are related to the fam because otherwise you are just a creepy internet stalker with as much time you put into telling me what you thought I was doing and then doubling down that despite my clarification and points of fact which is weird and a bit sad. So again stop trying to fight battles that only exist in your head & stop being wrong with the facts you rely on to be angry. State it as your opinion & not insist everyone else is wrong w/ their engagement or in the surprise with how quickly I think they are moving along (not a bad thing). I certainly hope you don’t come at me a 3rd time because that will border on pathetic and you still won’t “win”. Again, have a lovely night & sleep well.
