Mindy ' you are so strong. When I had to have my shots, I hated it . The first couple of ones are awful, and then you kinda get used to it, but never fun. I had two do shot for over two years it was awful and always felt like a pin cushion. You did great !! Proud of you. Positive uplifting vibes your ways

You can do it Mindy! You got this! From Jan till Mar 2023, I've done 3 cycles of IVF Stimulation + Egg Retrievals, back to back, without any support of anybody. Even my husband doesn't live with me in the same country (hence why we had to do IVF). And then I took a 3.5 months break, then I did my Embryos transfer. And now I'm 24 days away from my C-section.

It's hard to give yourself credit sometimes when you're in the middle of the difficult thing. I was also cracking up at how much we have in common. I have a lot of those "I just want to lie down moments" because of a non-life threatening genetic condition, and many times, powering through is the only solution. However, we all want you to rest when you feel like you need to rest. Take care of our Mindy because we love her so much! Lots of love also to wonderful Larry, precious, Liam, and sweet Lexi-kitty! I also wondered about hormones in the birth control/shots and your migraines. I had chronic migraines that were caused by the hormones in birth control so I can’t be on any form of hormones again. I was in my 20’s and my birth control pills caused my brain pressure to be elevated. So IVF was out of the question for us. Luckily I got a miracle baby. Hi Mindy! With taking the hormones etc, I recommend finding a homeopath and doing a full detox after you have had your baby. From now on I would suggest getting Breast thermography checks yearly as well, they are non invasive and detect changes immediately which they monitor. Also praying and speaking health to your body! So excited for you guys. Love and hugs ❤x

I tried Manuka honey, that brand, I get eczema only on my hands and it really irritated my skin and I broke out worse. I was really disappointed. I think we’re all created different, but I just couldn’t use it. I think it’s just too rich. I need something really light.

Hey Mindy, I‘m a medical student from germany (taking my state exam in 1.5 months aaah I‘m so scared), and what they taught us about birth control is basically the same thing the doctor told you (that we don‘t know for sure) but there is some evidence (from what we know about the risk of women who have never been pregnant vs those who have had a lot of children, people with hormonal imbalances etc.) that hormonal birth control will likely: - DEcrease the risk of ovary, endometrial and colon cancer - INcrease the risk of cervical cancer (along with certain types of HPV) - probably has no effect regarding breast cancer (we don‘t know about this one - possibly slightly increased risk) Overall I wouldn’t worry too much, as for a lot of these cancers there are a lot of risk factors like smoking, alcohol etc., a lot of it is genetic anyway and also the hormone doses that birth control has are really tiny these days. Unfortunately, nobody can really predict an individual‘s cancer risk for sure! I myself have taken birth control pills for 10 years now and I personally don’t worry about the cancer risk, as it‘s even said to be decreased for some types, and I live a normal to healthy lifestyle otherwise and don‘t drink etc. and plan to do screening (like colonoscopy, mammography etc.) as recommended for my age group when the time comes. Not yet as I’m only 25 haha! I hope this helps you a little bit! Overall, there‘s never any guarantee in life and we could all die tomorrow but as you said - lovely little Liam would be worth it anyway for sure! It’s normal to start your period within a day or two after getting off birth control. I had an IUD for six years so for 6 years I didn’t get a period and if I did, it was only spotting. Well I took my IUD off on a Wednesday and two days later on Friday my period came with a vengeance. I woke up to soaked underwear. My period is always punctual so I was surprised because it came two weeks early. It’s the birth control

Mindy, just so you know, a period after you go off the pill is not a “real” period, just a hormonal period. Meaning there are no eggs being lost there, because the pill stopped the ovulation!
