for knits, my grandma once told me that it helps to put them in a tub of cold water and ice and gently tug on the material to make it looser again. Something about the fibres and their reaction to the cold temperature helps :)

I was going to say my gran's technique was similar...slightly dampen it (cold) and then stretch it over the back of a chair and leave it there for a day or so.

I knit a lot and when I need to wash my knitted sweaters, I handwash them in water at max 30 degrees celcius. I try to work as little as possible with the knits when washing them. It also a good idea to use laundry detergent specific for wool and fine clothes, because it doesn't contain enzymes, which is better for knits. To get most of the water out of knits after handwashing, you can come the sweater in a meshbag and centrifuge it in your washingmachine at 800 revolution, or you can place the sweater on a towel and then gently roll the towel up and press some water out of the sweater that way. When you're done handwashing your knits, it's best to dry them flat on a towel. When you're laying them to try, it's often possible to pull them a bit to get longer again. Often when knit have shrunk, I find there's not much to do about it. I hope this can be to some sort of help! (And excuse my poorly english writing skills, I'm from Denmark, and I don't write in english that often)

I was so excited at the beginning of the video when you were talking and explaining what you were doing....and then sadly you just fast forward it all ....just my input but I don't find it very helpful or inspiring to just watch the fast forward...there is no insight, information or processing...I find a lot of benefit from hearing other people's processing and thinking...if other people don't want to watch a long video then they can 'manually' fast forward. Hopefully this is just constructive feedback.
