Olivia, Gesso is a primer (pronounced Jess-O), it's what artists use to prime the canvas and fill in the pores/gaps of the fabric. Usually you sand it down before applying oil paint or acrylic. (The canvases you bought already are primed with gesso). That's why it wasn't drying or working when you were applying thick amounts.

Glad you guys can enjoy lockdown & that it brings you so much time to ‘chill’ and not stress & are excited to spend the time on yourself while the rest of the population are super stressed and at risk of not being able to provide for there families or simply live with no work. Not everyone is privileged enough to be able to video there everyday life & get tripleeeeeee or more the amount of money then people that work super super hard everyday to put food on the table.

just a tip if you ever want to do a DIY painting again - i'm pretty sure gesso usually goes underneath all other mediums, its like a primer for oil and acrylic paints so that it doesn't seep into the canvas, maybe that's why it didn't work exactly the way you wanted?! anyways the paintings look amazing regardless 😍🤍

Yes lockdown might be fun in the beginning.. last year in March and April I enjoyed it because you can finally take time for things that you usually don’t do but trust me living in Europe we are just over it because that’s an endless thing so I am glad that we are kinda out of lockdown with some restrictions going on 🙈

Hi Ash, regarding your decluttering, if items have been gifted to you/are parts of a brand contracts you shoud give them to charity ♥️ if you bought them yourself you should 100% put them on Depop during lockdown, believe me it doesn’t that long and as you are 2 you have the chance to help each other doing it 🤗 I don’t think doing Glebe market will be safe for you nor the stands nearby / the whole market 👍🏻😅 xxx

Donating and reselling ar both good ways to give clothes a second life, but have you also considered reducing the amount of clothes you buy altogether? To me it looks like you tend to buy a lot of stuff and then very often never wear it...I get that your job revolves a lot aroud fashion and clothing, but since you have such a big platform it would be really insipiring to see you reduce your clothing consumption too (and maybe focusing on high quality pieces that you really love and get a lot of use of) :)

They also get sent A LOT of clothes for brand deals etc. But I agree once a month I love going through my clothes and finding homes for ones I don't wear anymore so save space for things I will like and wear a lot.

Hey 😊 I just came across your comment and I’m curious to know if your country still has covid restrictions. I’m from Australia and Sydney is in lockdown because they’ve had about 100 cases so far. Our government are very quick to closing everything when there’s only a few cases.

@@hogantwins hey, I’m not from the US but I’m from ireland and we’ve been in a form of lockdown ever since the pandemic started, last summer for about 2 months we were able to travel within the country and eat indoors but didn’t have any night clubs or concerts, indoor gathers were limited aswell as the capacity at restaurants etc and we had to have food at a bar, we weren’t allowed just have drinks! We’re coming out of a lockdown again but only vaccinated people can eat indoors and there’s still limits on indoor gatherings and all that. About 50% of our population is fully vaccinated but our cases have risen this week to over 1,000 a day and for an island of 4 million that’s a fair bit! Our highest point was near to 2,000 cases a day

I really enjoy your video :) but I think as someone with so much influence it is important that you guys help built awareness about shopping tons of cheap clothes that are made by people that get next to nothing for it and live and work under very poor conditions... I think when mentioning that you guys have lots of clothes that you never wore it is extremely important to reflect on that and also mention that that is not very sustainable at all... you say that but then tell us you wanna do lots of online shopping.. so many influencers do that.
