Hillcrest is a nice walking neighborhood. Used to walk so much there when visiting on a regular basis, from the 1980's to the mid 2000's. Always loved Balboa Park and all the little shops and cocktail lounges back in the old days. It's gotten a bit modernized by time. A lovely place. Hoping it still has a cool vibe.

Hillcrest is indeed so walkable. Still has a cool vibe, though the cafes, boutiques and cocktail spots have for sure changed in the 20 years that I've been here. Thanks for watching!

I lived in Hillcrest district during the late 1970s. It's certainly changed.. How about a walking tour through Old Town?
