I went to france back in like 2013-2014 and i remember people in paris had a lot of attitude but everywhere else people were really nice 😢 i’m so sad you had that experience!!

I went to France for the first time in December, I always heard how rude french people are sometimes but I guess I just didn’t fully believe that until I was there and experienced the worst treatment ever, at restaurants and touristic places… anyway, places where the staff is supposed to treat you nicely. I got totally shocked since I’m brazilian and we are known for our hospitality.

I actually just learned there is a thing called Paris syndrome people get from being disappointed when visiting Paris 😅

I had the same experience in Paris and in Berlin, people were horribly rude I couldn't believe it. I had a German lady call me a stupid girl for asking about the trains from the airport into the city lol. My next trip to Germany will definitely not be Berlin.

When I went to France, I had the same experience with staff at restaurants and hotels. It was like no matter what I said, they were just mad I was there. I chocked it up to being American, but I guess its is just a general dislike of people.

I have an aunt who speaks perfect French and when she was there seeing she clearly isn’t French even if they could understand perfectly they would be rude and be like what? What are you saying? Can’t understand you 🙃

@@ferlizano yah it was super frustrating. I was a vegetarian when I was there and I like triple checked that they got that my pizza was cheese only. Learned how to say it in french. It came and they had hidden ham under the cheese. Lets just say the walk back to the hostel had a lot of puke breaks.

I’m shocked how hard it was for you to get vegan food. Especially because in the Belgian Tomorrowland festival the vegan options are so good!

Uuugh, I had the same experience in France with rudeness years ago. And Swedes are sooo polite, so the shock must be even bigger for you. I am Dutch and Dutch people are already pretty direct, yet I still found the French rude. I have never had my bags lost/late, but now I will be afraid of that every time I fly. :'D

We went too France five years ago, I'm Australian ,and we got lost from our tour group in Belgium so had to make our way to Paris on our own . We finally got to the hotel in Paris and the staff were so uncaring and rude and had me in tears. I too do not have a good opinion

This is why tipping is a thing in America! Waiter’s attitude directly impacts their pay for the day. Of course I think they should be paid a fair wage hourly but tipping ensures staff are friendly and accommodating.

@@missmandiss apparently in France it’s not a part of their job. Which is exactly my point. Just because something SHOULDNT exist doesnt stop its existence. That’s why tipping can help curb some of those behaviors
