@@megleland6320 Sorry to report that here in the US, where we don't have universal health care, it's no better. Docs here are still overrun with paperwork (likely even MORE due to us having like 700+ medical insurance companies here and all the denials, pre-approvals required, etc.) . . .and docs here are still crazy busy and booked far in advance - 3+ months, just like where you are - especially for specialists like derms, heart docs, etc. At least you can't go bankrupt from the cost of your medical care. Here in the US, 42% of cancer patients spend through their life savings within 2 years of diagnosis. Shameful. Medical debt is a main driver of bankruptcies here. People, especially elders, in the US sometimes have to choose between food and pricey medicine. It's horrible. And I haven't even addressed the cost just to HAVE medical insurance here. It's insane. No where is perfect but I'll take what the rest of the developed nations have over what we have in the US, any day! (I have family in Canada so I know all the downsides and I'd still take it over the US system all day, every day!)

Totally agree about Dyson hair dryer, vacuums, fans, etc. Since you asked 😁😁 I mow our lawn. Used a push reel mower for years, then an elec. one that required a cord. Now I use a battery charged one. It's my favorite. Boy, the sky was pretty the day you were in the Botanic Gardens. Love the blue sky w/puffy white clouds. And that Syntax.....!!!!!! The Lego art was most interesting. In the gift shop at 13:56, I have one of those in blue. Identical to those. Yes, answering your question...love antique shops. What a cute box that Fab Fit Fun was this time! I have a set of 4 velcro headbands just like the one you showed. GREAT headbands! So you call sunglasses "sunnies".....makes me smile. I've never heard them called them but I like it. I call them "shades". Got polarized ones this last time & so glad I did !!! Totally get it & agree w/you about flat plates....ones w/a little edge like the ones you got makes sense ! I know what you mean about some meals have just a little sauce....an edge helps!

I am one of those people who can get away with using only tretinoin cream without having to apply an added moisturizer. I am 53 and have been using the tretinoin 0.05% cream for a few years now, and it has kept my skin from looking crepey, which runs in my family, so I do believe the tretinoin has been working for me!

These kind of videos are my favorite. I enjoy looking at stuff, too. It’s also nice to see what other areas of the country have to offer. I just want to say that what happened to some people while using Olaplex, happened to me with Loreal’s 8 Second Evive Wonder Water. The first time I used it, I absolutely loved it. So much so that I purchased an additional two bottles when they went on sale. The second time I used the product, I left it on my head for about 8 MINUTES. I know it was not longer, as I time my showers. I was horrified when my hair dried. It was frizzy, extremely brittle, and was falling out both in the shower and outside the shower. It never occurred to me that leaving it on longer could be so detrimental. If anything, I thought I would have an even better result if I let the product work its magic longer. It worked its magic, alright, just not in the way I wanted or expected. I was especially despondent because I had recently gotten my hair back to a soft, healthy condition after having it highlighted. And I didn’t want to spend the money on Olaplex. What you said about American’s liking to sue is funny, as I was fantasizing about suing Loreal for days. I am not someone who would actually sue for something like this. I’ve never sued anyone, and hope to never have to. It dawned on me, in hindsight, that leaving the product on my head for 472 seconds longer than the directions on the back of the bottle said to, may have been behind what caused the damage. I accepted accountability for what happened. That said, I was thinking the same thing you suggested; that companies make it clear as day (on the bottle) when leaving a product on longer (or using too much of it, or too often) can have an adverse affect. I think they should be required to. Even though I understand not to leave it on so long, now, I’ll never take the chance of using it again. I have almost three bottles of it now, and I would not give it anyone, as I would not want them to experience the same fallout (literally).

"It's a beautiful day in the neighbourhood!" Is what I say to my balcony birds. One of the baby turtle doves is particularly clever/cheeky and pecks on the bird seed box. The second i stand up, he/she walks over & waits at their special bowl. (It is actually a re-purposed, large, faceted glass ashtray that sits in a fancy silver frame stand). It's heavy...so it's perfect for even larger birds to perch on...and it doesn't blow away/flip over. You can find some beautiful glass/crystal/marble ashtrays in antique/vintage/thrift stores. Apart from bird/pet bowls, (former) ash trays make great candy bowls...at least it is healthier than smoking! I really enjoyed seeing the Lego display at the Botanical Gardens and hearing the little kiddies enthusiastically chatting. I'm surprised there weren't more people there. 👱‍♀️❤🐦🦆🕊🌱🪴🌿

The plate-bowl/pasta bowl is my favorite new type of dinnerware. I've picked up a few individual items but I want an entire set :) Watching you rub in the Tretinoin on your hands reminded me about the effect Adapalene had on my hands. I put it on the back of my hands before applying to my son & I and the happy accident was that my hands look SO much better!! I was so amazed I shared a pic on my Community page. I got the idea of putting it on my hands from your videos. Now, every active that is not applied directly to my face goes on the backs of my hands. I alternate now because one hand looked great and the other not so much. Thankfully, they match now :) LOL

Thanks for mentioning Altreno. Had never heard of it. Going to see the Derm soon and will ask for an Rx for it to try it out! I found Rx Tret a little too harsh, even if I use it every other night, so maybe this will be better. I currently use a Retinaldehyde-based product (MyChelle, The Ordinary, and also the super-gentle retinol CeraVe serum, I toggle between the three) and tolerate those well, so may try the step up to the Altreno. You're awesome, Andrea, thank you for all the information you provide. Also, I hope your mom is doing ok. Sending you and her much love! XO!

1, shock horror here in Europe we don’t really use ice in our drinks. Maybe in the summer when it’s really hot (though not where I live). When I was in the US I got such a throat ache after a couple of days from all that ice! When I told in the restaurants I wanted my drinks without ice it caused such a confusion that ordering just simply water became a torture. When I started asking for ice in a separate glass it was ok again. 2, here in Norway a lot of people have those electric robot lawnmowers (just like the robot vacuum Dr Dray has but for grass. Very practical and silent!

A stroll there is a good way to recharge your batteries and let of steam in more serene and calming way. The blow drying machines are so convenient indeed imagine to be free from all that hustle of changing towels wash them iron them blah blah blah. The bowl plates were so pretty. With the blanket thing i also do it but you know in spring when the time is still chilly and not cold my grandma used to knit and i got one for myself beautiful Lilly pattern. Yesterday i also cleaned my yard so proud of it 😊. Have a pleasant Sunday's morning filled with love and care (p.s your sunnies are so pretty and all time classic). 💖💗😇🙏💚😍😎.

I just pat my wet hands on a hand towel, rather than the vigorous rubbing method, and then apply handcream/sunscreen. I suppose that I do it gently for my face and this has carried over to the way I care for my hands. I think every member of the household should use a separate hand-towel, or just let their hands dry naturally to save on washing towels. Btw, I remember commenting on a previous Dr dray video on being sympathetic to anyone suffering from urticaria (hives). Now I have them for the very first time! 😵 As it's summer here, at first II thought that they were mosquito bites, as well as then freaking out Googling other types of bites. The pharmacist said that it may be a long/post Covid response. He also said that sometimes people (who like me are not normally hives prone) have them appear after being vaccinated. So it's particularly annoying development,, as I was just about to have my next Covid and flu vaccinations... so now I'll have to wait. The pharmacist gave me anti-histamines which have helped...and because I take care of my skin, the marks have heeled well and have faded quickly. I'm grateful that the hives are not on my face or arms. If they persist, I will go to my doctor, to rule out any another cause. 🤞 👱‍♀️❤

Can you discuss mesenchymal stem cells in skin care? Those sunglasses are very Holly Golightly! We have Dyson driers in our office bathroom and the cleaning man told us Dyson hand driers have to be cleaned frequently b/c water that drips off our hands onto the base and makes it nasty/slimy. Then that nastiness gets blown up onto to subsequent users. The better design is the blower that is directed down and is open to the floor.

I mow my own lawn & really enjoy it. I use a push mower so it's decent exercise as well. Sunscreen & broad rim hat on for sure though 😁

I have a robotic lawn mover system that keeps my lawn just perfect. I used to move the lawn when I was a kid back in the 80s. I actually enjoyed it. And even though I have a dishwasher. I sometime wash the dishes by hand. I find it relaxing, almost meditative. Maybe I should get a manual lawn mover too. Anyway, have a great Sunday!😊

You are so right (as usual) we all need a Dyson dryer in the kitchen and bathroom!! They are fabulous. I swear, when traveling, I don't need to use hand cream nearly as much when I use one of those dryers. If I use one of those brown paper "towels" my hands feel horribly dry.

The great thing about 'antique' stores is that they don't really have that many real antiques. It usually turns out to be more of a retro store where you can find stuff from decades gone by for a great price. They should just go ahead and call it 'old stuff store'.

Dyson is pretty nice when you NEED top of the line. Dyson ball vacuum with washable hepa vac filter- great for those with severe allergies. Hair dryer is great for those of us who bleach our hair to the point of almost melting it off 😂. They are expensive, but worth it if it helps someone keep their life together. If you can get away with using less expensive stuff, go for it.

What color is the Pat MaGrath lipstick? It's so pretty. I have too much eye disease to tolerate anti-ageing products such as Tretinoin. But for those who can, probably should.

Love the sunglasses! I have a prescription pair of sunglasses and I love them. It is a hassle to go back and forth between two pair of glasses. Thanks for the trip to the Botanical Garden. I have a lawn service mow my yard.

This is a bit off topic but I have been using SunnyDays tinted sunscreen SPF 30 by Tower28. I wear the lightest color and it works on my Fitzpatrick type 1 skin. Comfortable to wear and good looking. Thanks for everything you do!

I used to think think Dyson was overhyped, 100% -- then we bought a vacuum, then a small handheld vacuum/dustbuster sort of thing. Then a few months ago my hair person said she got a Dyson blow dryer (not the air wrap, but the plain dryer) and she could not recommend it enough. So I got it, thinking I'd return it if it was not life-changing. Well, it was/is life-changing -- meaning my hair has NEVER looked this healthy or taken less time to dry and look good. I use their smoothing tool after a quick rough dry, and don't even have to use a flat--iron to tamp down the frizz anymore. Yes, it's absurdly pricey and yes, it's totally worth it if you can swing the cost.

We have a Chef Kenny’s here in Vegas and we love it (my partner and I aren’t even vegan). The restaurant says Dim Sum but they have a bunch of other Asian food as well. You have to try their curry & their “steak” roll. Their “sushi” is so good!

We had a personal (not commercial) dyson shark vacuum at work. We were in a restricted area so it was easier to just do it ourselves. It was the best vacuum i have ever used...too pricey for me tho, ditto on lawn care; that's why i appreciate your tips on sunscreens. 👍🏼

Hi, Dr Dray. It was one of my every weekend chores as a teenager to mow the grass and also wash the cars! We live in a patio home now so the hoa hires a service to mow.
