Hey Charlene! About to enroll into WKWSCI and was wondering what laptops do you recommend for school. Does the course require a very high end laptop or would a regular 8gb memory with 256gb storage be good enough?

Hi! I think it’s more of a personal choice but for me, I’m using the M1 16GB memory 512gb storage MBP because I edit videos for my YT channel and didn’t want to use an external hard disk. I don’t think the school requires a very high end laptop; there is also a room w many macs in WKWSCI which you can use when you need to! Sometimes certain classes like Print and Digital Publications may require you to use adobe apps on your laptop though… they used to conduct the class in the room w all the macs but during my semester we had to use our own and buy our own adobe suite…🫠

I think I paid around $30 SGD (including removal of my previous gel nails) if I remember correctly. The service was quite good but I’ve heard that there are cheaper nail parlours in JB😬 Since it was (kinda) my first time in JB, I would probably visit another (cheaper) place next time to try out other options. Nimmies Cafe is quite nice and the mains seem quite worth, but the croissants are quite expensive (around SG price - $6). Sorry it’s my first time so I don’t have much experience/recommendations other than what I tried out that day!🤣

Instead of crossing via Woodlands, can take Causeway Link bus at Jurong East to cross via Tuas. Will definitely be less crowded.
