@@juliejigsaw Consistent draw makes a lot of difference, here are some tips to make it better. First, draw using your back, not your arms (imagine trying to squish a grape between your shoulder blades). You will be better able to draw. Next, draw to a consistent anchor point, such as the knuckle of your thumb to the corner of your mouth. Make sure this anchor point does not let any part of you get smacked by the string on release. With the side you put the arrow on, as you pinch the arrow, twist slightly in (unless you can manage no twist at all). This will make it so the arrow doesn't come off the bow like that. Lastly, release very purposefully and smoothly. As for aiming, imagine your left pointer knuckle as your rear notch sight, and your right pointer knuckle as your front sight. After a few shots of consistent precision, you can figure out your hold off, then you will be able to hit the bullseye.

I miss working that show! Find yourself a corset for your next trip to any of the more than 150 festivals scattered around the country, and several around Europe. You truly shouldn't be disappointed, it does happen depending on the day, mood of the cast and employees and even the other patrons visiting our home for 2 months out of the year, keep in mind we're human too and for us, this is a job that we practice for even if we've done this for over a decade or just for a few days. After I get a new kidney and pancreas I hope to be back to doing what I love and miss terribly.

If you are a traveler, Holly, Michigan does an excellent Renaissance Festival. It's been a while since I went, but I went several years in a row and it was always so fun (wore the garb and everything).

As a lefthanded person with some skill in archery, it kinda struck me that you had the arrow on the wrong side of the bow, and also maybe kinda were destroying the feathers. See, an arrow like this has 3 feathers, and by turning the third towards the bow it hits when shot and thus goes wide. ....Yeah I hope this didn't sound too bitchy, it's one in the morning here, and am *living* for your vid

Can totally relate as far as game of thrones goes. Our first time to the renaissance fair was 2016 and so far each year there's AT LEAST one denaerys...(is that even how you spell it?) ....ive tried watching The show but.. After getting an episode and a half in, it was NOT for me. 😂
