We’ve been debating with going with a new doctor because of this. I used to feel very optimistic about our healthcare system but I’m starting to see it for what it is

Yes definitely get a new doctor. It is veryyyy important. While she is right about black women being ignored we also have the highest rates of traumatic and fatal incidents due to lack of care, attention and negligence from these doctors. It’s important and if you can find a good black doctor

DONT TAKE TYLENOL!!!! I despise how these doctors treat us Black women!!! Invest in rubber mats in the shower AND rugs for out of the shower!! Please girl!! Please look into a doula!! Or at least please don't keep going to a doctor who seems to get frustrated with you during your first pregnancy...they don't care. You deserve better...we all do!! You look amazing...like AMAZING!!!

I’m so glad you and your baby are okay. Don’t ever be afraid to go get checked out by your provider. And if they’re making you feel that way I would suggest looking for a place that handles you with care. Congrats on your new home.

First off, glad you and baby boy are okay and congrats on the new place! Secondly, I highly recommend that you do get a shower stool. I too do shower spa days and it is a life saver (literally lol) having locs when you are washing, conditioning, and shaving. Even if you get one of those slip mats, if you get shaving cream or conditioner on it, it will become slippery. Just my personal experience. Take care!❤
