Hey Nikki, I am a mental health therapist. It all depends on what she told them at the time. If she relayed that she currently had suicidal ideations with a plan, she should have definitely been admitted into a facility. Again, it is based on what she told them, being 100% transparent about her feelings and emotional state. Usually, if you do not have a SI with a plan, the recommended treatment is to take the prescribed medication and follow up with a therapist 1-2 times a week or she could have done a partial hospitalization program, which is going to the facility a few days out of the week for group therapy. If she stated that she has something to live for like family, working, etc; then that's probably why the clinician recommended that she not be hospitalized but to keep pushing and working towards her goal (paying bills). So that could have truly been the recommendation given by the clinician but it also sounds like she wanted to be back home with her family as well. I so admire you though, I love seeing how you are applying your self-care and managing your mental health without having to worry about being strong for someone else.

I admire the way you speak about Nicole and your marriage. You are fair but impartial and identify what can happen in a marriage, ie: stiffling expression, which is a common one. I feel your example in how kind and sensitive you are, even though you "felt played" or there are other things at play. I worked with Veterans with mental health issues. I’ll say this, although she felt like she needed inpatient and the doctor suggested something different she may be in a state where she doesn’t trust her own judgement. If she was mentally strong enough, she would have stuck to what she thought was best for her. In addition, every provider is not the right fit for every patient. Nicole may be working with a provider that unfortunately may not provide the best treatment plan for her. Praying both of you continue to heal and travel down the paths God has for you❤

yea that Psychiatrist sound sketch to me. Thats my career field. Youre not supposed to talk a patient out of what they deem emergent. Couldve even just admitted her for a few days to a week just ground her (they do multiple counseling sessions in there) and get her back out. People that suffer Chronic Depression and Anxiety are very impressionable because they already overthink a lot. So convincing someone who has intense mood swings by nature that theyre "okay" is very ambitious. If I knew that doctor, id leave a nice-nasty review for sure and have her try another facility. But I hope she does ok for the time being.

That Bloom keeps me regular., and has helped with digesting certain foods (like beef) so much better. And you’re getting most of your daily fruits and veggies with Bloom. It really has helped me so much!!! I drink it mixed into 12oz of the juice first thing in the morning everyday. And I sometimes drink a cup at night from time to time if I know I’ve been eating a lot of heavier foods. I’m going within 10-30 minutes of waking up! 😊

I have watched your videos for a while now, started with the makeup videos, but, I have always loved your transparency and you being yourself like you don’t have to put on and act like someone you are not. I went through a similar situation almost two years ago, my husband at the time just decided he didn’t want to be married anymore and moved out, there were some issues, and mental health was one of them. I definitely felt some kind of way but, I also felt that it was meant to happen for a reason, even if I didn’t know what that was. I have felt truly free since that event happened, like a weight was lifted and I want everyone to feel like that. No. You are right to feel a way about being left by your ex-wife. Yes, there are certain things that happen or occur living with Mental Illness but She decided to get married to you. That is still on HER to open up and show her true self to you. I’m glad you two are able to talk things out. How she went about it was not the best way to go about ending 14 years of love. I’m always shocked how some hide their Mental Illness to their Partners. It happens more than you think. My mindset is “ I would rather you love me for ME than who I pretend to be” so I’m upfront about my diagnosis. There is also personal responsibility for getting help and maintenance that your Partner can’t do for you. Anywho, Great Vlog!
