VLOG: Is the Canon M50 a good vlog camera?

Hey Guys! Corona got us quarantined so I finally have time to catch up on editing my vlogs!! I picked up a new camera?! Let me know what y’all think!

I just did a vlog on that lens today too... it was shaky :( ...but yours looks worse for some reason!! Make sure the the digital stabilization is ON but not the 'enhanced' stabilization... maybe that will fix that warpie shit going on in the background! that wide angle looks badass... I hope that camera setting fixes the problem

Been thinking about upgrading to the M50 myself recently, love the way you reviewed it! It looks amazing with the Sigma 16mm btw, but you could get a wider view with a Canon 10-18mm (and a converter)

Hi, just a quick tip in case you don't know already but your Rode Mic has little grooves in the dial that tightens it to the hot-shoe. Those grooves are meant for you to slot the mic cable in so that the mic doesn't bounce around when you move the camera. So at timestamp 29.02 for example,. the cable would clip into the back of the dial. Hope that makes sense.

Nicely done! I just learned that you can keep your mic from bouncing up and down by clipping the red cord to those notches on the cold shoe tightener.

We are currently using the canon G7x mark iii. The only problem with the camera is the auto focus is horrible. I definitely liking the m50 camera.

Loved the Vlog! && I also film my vlogs on Somy a5100 but I just upgraded to Sony a6600 so I'm excited to finally upgrade. I definitely feel like its always good to upgrade if you can & invest in yourself.

do not put your finger or anything in front of that peep hole, it will disable the LCD haha. i had the same problem.

you can get a tripod and that will kind of make it a wider shot because it will be a bit ferther away

if you shoot in 4k it is more cropped/zoomed-in than If you shoot in 1080p.
