I can safely state that I have drank between 50,000 and 70,000 Cokes in my life. (And I'm healthier than you, pretentious reader, whoever you are. I'm on track for 90+.). (BTW I grew up in Atlanta where it originated and is HQ'd. My grandfather invested heavily in stock KO) And, that said - New Coke was dogshit. I'm not going to need to confirm that with a retesting :)

An idea: invent your own 'Kepsi'(tm) ! pour half-and-half of original K. and original P. into a glass, compare its flavor to New K., see if it really splits the difference or whether it's more like 'spit-the-difference'
