Single and child free 31 year old woman. Still staying at home but supporting nobody. Shopping for my first car this year and hopefully will move out next year. Life is blissful and when I am ready I will consider marriage and a child. Nice thing about Lerato is that she's the older sister. So her little sisters have a great example to look up to. Her friends are also married or engaged young women in the same industry as her. Kudos

51:51 Reading "Blackout: Remembering the Things I Drank to Forget" by Sarah Hepola changed my relationship with alcohol. I highly recommend that book, especially to my peers. We always think that you have to consume alcohol to have a good time. I started examining my relationship with alcohol and if that's what I really wanted or if I was just going along with the crowd because "it's cool" It empowered me to know my limits and to drink only when I'm in a celebratory mood so that I can savor the moment. One of the best books I've ever read.

I disagree hey. If that generation was as honest about marriage and motherhood and this generation is, a lot would’ve been different. I don’t think I’d think the grass is greener coz I would’ve known it isn’t. That generation kinda failed us by not being open about life (I’m talking about us who grew up in spaces where open conversations weren’t a norm). Now this generation is opening up and whatever choices they make and paths they take, they would’ve had the information. I’m not policing anyone or telling people what to do, everyone has their path and if being a mother is your path great, but get into it knowing what it’s like. Someone the older generation never did for us and we had to find out ourselves ❤
