This is not what the Prophet PBUH allowed or taught us and Imam Hussein AS did not do this either. Putting or following people came after the Rasool in the religion before the Prophet is disliked by Allah.

It was forbidden by the leader of all the leaders, our prophet PBUH to do all these rituals. Beating, or cutting up doing Matam mourning was never allowed. Unfortunately, today a lot of people are doing Biddah and Shirk in the name of these great Imams. Whether Imam Ali AS or Imam Hussein AS they all followed Quran Allahs commandments came thru our Prophet PBUH and the Prophet PBUH. So its Allah and following of the Rasool and Rasool did not teach us to do all these rituals.

Thats Sunni prespective of it,even it's validity can be proved by Ahle sunnah books. Mostly things muslims conclude themselves and associate with Prophet pbuh or they fail to Understand Quran,or rely on fabricated narations or narations that are not considered authentic to all. Matam to begin with is not self harm as some people try to showcase it. Light beating on your chest or anywhere doesn't harm your body to a dangerous level. Its a nature reaction and also a cultural thing to sad happenings,when you can't hold your sorrow in your body so to manage it you thump on your body. And there are many scientific medical benefits to it forexample enhancing circulation,proving breathing,mucus clearance,aiding in chest physiotherapy. Prophet pbuh as you have already mentioned Leader of Leader have said in an aunthentic narration that Sahih Muslim, Book 31, Hadith 5920. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "I am leaving among you two precious things and if you adhere to both of them, you will never go astray after me. They are the Book of Allah and my Ahlul Bayt." He didn't made Ahlulbait rely on Quran ,Infact He left Quran and Ahlulbait(A) both as source of quidance and as Hadi for Ummah on equal level. This means Quran and Ahlulbait both are Masoom and Hadi that don't go against eachother. So,Ahlulbait Understands the Quran more better than Anyone in Ummah and Quran Understands Ahlulbait. Now what we hear in Ziarat e Nahiya by The Holy Progeny That Ahlulbait themselves did matam on the tragedy of Karbala. If it was unislamic,against Quran or Prophet pbuh then for sure we wouldn't have found its link with Ahlulbait(A). We also found in sunni sources the matam of aisha at her father's funeral. And matam of women and aisha on Prophet pbuh's funneral.Matam was also done by Ayisha and Muslim women when the Prophet passed away. Musnad Ahmad ibn Hanbal , Hadeeth number 25144 and Dalaa'il Al-Nubowwah by Al-Bayhaqi (Al-Eltudaam (Beating the chest)).and Al-Tabaqaat Al-Khubra by ibn Sa'ad 2/261 and Tareekh Al-Tabari; 2/441 and Ibn Al-Atheer in Al-Bidayah Wal-Nihayah. And mourning is definitely allowed in Islam. As Quran says :"Allah does not like transgression (or excess) in weeping, except for those who have been wronged" (12:87). And we dont mourn this much for ourselves but only for Imam Hussein(A) who was wronged. We also find mourning In Prophet pbuh in His life "The Prophet Muhammad ((SAWA) after the battle of Uhud, encouraged Muslims to mourn on the martyrdom of his uncle Hamza when many Muslims were mourning their own martyrs by telling them : Why my uncle Hamza has no mourners? وعمّي حمزة لا بواكي له ؟ Musnad Ahmad Ibn Hanbal , Hadeeth number 4742 and Al-Mustadral Ala Al-Saheehain; Hadeeth 1407, and Al-Mu'jam Al-Kabeer by Al-Tabarani; 11/310 , and Al-Tabaqaat Al-Khubra by Ibn Sa'ad; 2/44, and Tareekh Al-Tabari; 2/210." Islam definitely Allows a person to express their sorrows and griefs,as expressing emotions is good for one's mental health. And Islam always has it's concerns for Human's well being. Islam permits showing grief in Ones's own style as long as its not sinfull way. For example You can't do drugs to be less sad or you can't be suicidal towards yourself . However ,Islam doesnt have anything against culture that is harmless or sinless. And After Prophet pbuh we would rather take our Guidance from His progeny or Quran . We even take from them the Sunnah of Prophet pbuh Hadith and Fiqh from Ahlulbait(A). Rather than an outsider who isn't even a masoom untill and unless Their is nothing about a certain thing from Ahlulbait(A) or Quran(A). Or we find nothing contradictory to Them. Or people have associated alot of things with Prophet pbuh along with misinterpreting Islam claiming it words and Sunnahof Prophet pbuh. P.S. I am not talking about extreme matam that results in cuts,injuries and bloodloss. Because to me personally it might be too much as it could lead to physical self harm but I cant say something against it since I dont have much info about it nothing about legitimacy. So,I would avoid that part. But Normal matam it's not for bidden. Now, About Biddah and Shirk ,they could be common now a days. But most the time people are accusing others of Biddah and Shirk with no islamic basis because Lack of knowledge. That's why one should Take those two as guidance Which Prophet pbuh reccommended( Quran and Ahlulbait) because only They can tell the authentic Teachings of Prophet pbuh.

@@soon1855 you are a twister. Instead of doing Shirk, follow Quran and Hadeeth. I am verified direct descendant of Imam Ja'far As Sadiq and you are trying to teach me. I am not a Sunni. I follow the right madhab and I am an Arab. Stop being a follower of Yazid - the first Matam came from Yazid after what he did in Karbala and Allahs Layna on him. Quran says Ataat e Rasool which is supreme commandment and then follow the life of our Rasool PBUH and to avoid Shirk which is unforgiven, follow these rules.

Who forbade it only Banu Ummayah 😂 Prophet PBUH cried on Imam Hussein a.s n Ahlebayt during his life time many ahadees are present even in sunni books....beating is just expression of grief sunnis may disgaree with it but its allowed by Ahlebayt and Prophet PBUH said to follow only Quran n Ahlebayt after him

@@mrwhytheskyisblue come out of this anti shia thinking ....first of all as I have already said that beating chest/face is the form of expression of grief and not forbidden many imp ppl did this act as recorded in sunni histories and ahadees books see musnad ahmed 26348 ....2nd Prophet PBUH cried on Imam Hussain a.s during his life time many ahadees recorded in Mulsim and Musnad Ahmed ....it is written in books that when Hazrat Owais Qarni heard about breaking of Prophets tooth in Ohad he broke his teeth himself....
